Hi everyone I'm new to the site and I just picked up a rusty crusty 73 CT70 that I've pretty much brought back to look like new. When I took off the clutch cover to sand and paint it and put it back on, ever since it seems to shift kind of hard first off for a couple of times but once the bike warms up it shifts fine. This never happened before i took the covet of, it shifted fine all the time. I took the cover off again to see if I did something wrong and I couldn't find anything? Any idea why after I took the cover off the shifting of gears is a little stiff until it warms up?

Nevermind. I took the cover off again and looked around found nothing but it back on and it seems to be fine now.

Clearly, something was incorrectly assembled the first time. Alls well that ends well, I suspoze...but...I'd sure want to know what wasn't as it should have been, for next time. At some point, soon we hope, you'll be going back in, to clean the oil spinner. At this point, I'd recommend waiting until then.
