Early model 68 slantguard I am throwing together....
looking to make some tall bars(as old ones are not to be found)

Your pictures tell a good story. The hardware has got that jewelry bling. Looks chromed in the picture.
A '68 seems to be a difficult one to acquire parts for. Not a long list but tough.

You must have a very low vin # if you are needing the tall bars.

not as low as Marks....I have someone working on the bars now,Has one good left one..So the perches will be moved up to the correct position...then the holes will have to machined..then I should be finished,,,,
has the original nitto tires also..not 100% new but ok..will do until I find a set..

You can buy reproduction tall bars on ebay. Probably a lot cheaper than custom made.

yes i saw those and actually the guy can make them with the left side with no holes or anyway you need them..
perches moved up and all..for 169.00.......1200 for a set of used ones if you can find them....

painted the tank and man at paint store gave me the wrong paint correct Ivory color but in a urathane paint..I needed base clear...
So a repaint is in the works

There was a guy in/near Kalamazoo Michigan who was really big into the rare Z50 and monkey bike stuff. Think it was Jerry's Z50 Stuff...business name. Not sure if he's still in operation...but worth looking into.
