More anti-terrorist propaganda to take away your rights. You are 100% correct on this one DV, it is your OWN government you should fear, not terrorists. This really isn't a communist movement either, as both democrats and republicans have pushed for the same thing. Unfortunately so many people believe you are under foreign threat and will back this. Maybe Goering said it best:

Make no mistake about it, we are and have been under attack in this country for quite some time, not by some "Boogie Men" from one of the "stan" countries, but from the inside... by the very same people we elect to hold the highest office(s) of government. They might just as well change the Bill of Rights to read "WE THE SHEEPLE..."
The Nazi party in germany, from Hitler on down the chain of command were no dummies, as the quote from Goering points out. One of the first things on their agenda, was to disarm the population, starting with the registration of privately owned firearms. Once that had been accomplished, it was then a relatively simple task to go out and round up those guns. Nothing short of brilliant, and as they say... the rest is history.
High on Obama's to do list for a 2nd term, is to pass more gun control laws, including reinstituting the so called "assault weapon ban". Fast & Furious was a key part of this plan. This administration would like nothing better than mandatory firearms registration in this country, with the Second Amendment being sent to the shredder, along with the letters questioning, or worse, criticizing the powers that be.
