They want around $20. for the [FONT=arial, helvetica]TCHUPPEN here's the link
TOUCH UP PAINT PENS (TCHUPPEN)
I have a few spots the size of a tack is the biggest area that could use a touch up, the rest of the paint is pretty good.
I was thinking of trying this pen, any experience with this?:pop2:

Yep, no surprise didn't seem like it. Might sound funny but I broke out my red Sharpie permanent marker.....It hides the scratch! I can live with the results especially for a $1.69 :16:

id just take a nice trip to the local auto store or wal mart ect. first.duplicolor makes good ones.
my bike is a rivierra blue i have a pen that exactly matches the color and it cost me 5 buckaroos. its a gm color too. the 80's red ones were gm red is another hint.
try to get a flake of paint and match it up in the store its got a little brush and a pen. it worked really well from the first glance you cant tell. the dratv pens are at 20+shipping for the same amount of paint thats rediculous if you can find the color elsewhere.:104:

Thanks for the reply Kjax....first.duplicolor, thats the brand of pen, yes, Cause its not a web site, I guess its time to visit Wall Mart

I used a fingernail polish paint for my Topaz Orange. I got the color from PMT member Dano. Pretty close match on the paint if I do say so myself.
GM Sunburst Orange Metallic is also a close Orange match. :zonked:

If your bike has original paint and you're of the mindset that some color is better than a scratch, then some of the repair methods mentioned might yield acceptable results. If you're closer toward the perfectionist end of things, then not so good. The Sharpie idea isn't as ridiculous as it sounds. Transparent color over silver metallic base is, essentially, what candy colors are. Just don't make the mistake of confusing what's been discussed, so far, with making seamless repairs in highly visible areas, especially on a high-quality repaint. If your fresh resto gets marred, a proper touch-up rates 9.99 out of 10 on the difficulty scale. Know what's possible/practical to expect going in and you'll end up a lot happier with the results.
