Bike question, photos included

Looking for some added input here on some things here. .

First is the brake cable to the rear. Not sure if it goes in front or behind but is very tight against exhaust/shield.

Then I have the exhaust clamp. Does it go up? Does it go down?

If you look closely.. my bike has just been collecting dust.

Often enough, eBay will be your friend for stuff like this...pictures, or LH picture or build threads.

Looks like it should come in behind the exhaust, then run under the steel plate of the frame.

I dont know if many young folks appreciate but we are in an age of miracle photography.
The pictures in this thread are beyond exceptional and they likely were taken by smart phones.
I've been a photographer for fifty years and this blows my mind. Poor poor camera makers.
What are they going to do ? Anyone remember Polaroid ?
