I’m selling my K3 locally on Facebook and listing here. It won’t be on eBay due to fees. I have owned this for maybe 7 years and was going to do a full restoration but my plans have changed. Ask any questions and for more pictures.

Good luck with this Ray. That's a lot of bike for the money.

Don't rule out eBay without looking into the fees. I think the eBay fees are a flat rate for "vehicle" sales. I don't remember the numbers for sure, but I want to say it's $60 below $2500, and $120 above... You'd have other eBay, or PayPal fees only if you use them for the deposit etc.

To me, eBay is steady going to shit. Wether buying or selling...well...they're pissing me off a bit. So I understand your view. But eBay will get you tons of exposure. Maybe include some strategic info in your listing...

A phone number visible in one of your pics...

The words..."also listed locally, so this listing could end at any time"...this clues folks in to looking up a CL add in your area.

You could also just list it with a high, buy it now-or best offer, price...to basically just raise YOUR price to cover the associated fees.

eBay now requires a BIN listing to run for 30 days...and then they renew it for 30 more, unless you cancel.
I've seen bikes and parts listed and renewed for LONG periods...but then they sell. I don't think it would cost you anything at all to list your bike...not sure, but I think you only pay when/if it sells.

Thanks Kirrbby all good info not just for me but for anyone selling. I have slowly been turned off by ebay policies and when they made the change that made it mandatory to give them access to your personal checking account I decided I was done with them. I’m only an ebay buyer for now.

I've been gone a looonnggg time from this forum, the time is getting close for me to let go of alot of bikes parts ect and i just came across this thread and wanted to chime in and make sure everybody knows, the Biden Admin has passed laws that are forcing Venmo, Paypal Ebay managed payments, all payment processors to ISSUE 1099K forms to ANYONE who receives 600.00 or more from a processor per year starting Jan 1 2022, I've already earned mine :(

Thanks for driving this home lonetow...reality check
This is going to be a problem for me too. Many of us I'd guess.
Any advice?? Any thoughts on how to sidestep, or a roundabout?? Are family and friends type transfers exempt? Bank to bank wire transfers?
It's not gonna bode well for eBay...I'm sure of that.

Here lately Iv been using Zelle through my bank app. It’s free for me and who ever gets the money. PayPal is getting out of control too in my opinion.

These are the questions everyone is asking. Does this affect the 15K annual gift allowance?? Alot of hobby sellers on Ebay say they're going on FB marketplace for cash only. I can't imagine how many hobby sellers on Ebay this is affecting, the 1099K threshold was 200 sales AND 20K in receipts, now it's 600.00 annually period.
I just sold a 800 vintage item on Ebay that I acquired in 1991 and weighs almost 300lbs. I have moved that thing from North Texas all over NM and CO, stored it, pampered it ect ect and brought it back to TX. An accountant would show that at a loss for sure.
BTW, know that Ebay Managed Pymts and Paypal DO NOT break out shipping charges you charge the buyer, it is shown as income on your 1099K
I'll be completing a Schedule C for 2022 obviously :(

Awesome! Congrats, CJ's woman :)
CJ...she's gonna run circles around you on that little 50mph H of yours. lolol
Yeah Susan's anxious.
I told her about this bike being very capable of smoking that H and too be careful getting used to it. I'm sure that thing is a power house compared to her old bike.lol

We went back to Clarksville, AR and checked back in to the same hotel.lol. She already posted on FB. "Its in the car! It's all mine!". I wanna thank Ray for, getting it prepped for shipping, all the work and parts of putting it back to a 3speed, meeting me halfway(more than), and helping me get it loaded. Would also like to thank OLD CT for helping Ray to get this done in a short time period. Thanks guys, Susan will be enjoying this bike for years. "I can't wait to ride it."

Btw,
Should I run 91pure or will 87pure be just fine? The other CT70's I had were fine with 87, but my HK1 does act a "liittle" better with 91 in the lower RPM range. Dont know why.

I run 110 leaded and ethanol free premium blend. I buy about 8 gallons at a time. All my carburetor bikes get it. So, I don’t know how it would run on pump gas. Sorry

Got it. I went ahead and put pure 91 in it. Seems to run fine.

Anyway, she took off on it after I got the exhaust and blinkers back on. That little bike runs great. I took it for a ride first and it does run better than stock...for sure.lol. She absolutely loves it. I also put the center stand on it.

What’s that mean exactly
In the back of my head I was thinking of putting all the goodies from this one into the H motor and then putting it into this bike. Too bad she doesnt want a manual.

I ran this idea with her and she said, "Don't you touch my bike, I love it the way it is. All I want now is my heel/toe shifter put on and that six pack rack for the store. No one is to ride this bike, but me. If it gets tore up, no one is to blame but me".
