Has anybody used this service before? I just sold my Silver Tag frame and was informed I am eligible for the GSP shipping program and was automatically processed under that way.

seems that you send you package to Kentucky Hub, domestically and they take care of the rest. It sounds too good to be true. :7::p

My item is being sent to Germany but all they are charging me is the price to KY.

I've never used it before but Paypal did it automatically. Here's the addrss where I'm supposed to send it . Any insight would be greatly appreciated.:4:

I think that's something new. The last thing I sold intl was a carburetor to Finland. It was about a month ago. I was not offered that service, unless I missed something. Maybe because your item is big/heavy, it qualifies. The carb shipped First Class Intl. or at least that's the option I used. Ebay seems to be trying to simplify shipping for sellers, and reduce the fear that we have regarding shipping. Seems like good business. Let us know how it goes. Glad to hear you sold your frame.

Have used it a few times with out issue. Yes it is that simple, I try to let the buyer know that they have another bill coming from the ebay intl. program that will cover the overseas shipping, and that you have no idea how much that will be. You should get shipping updates to your email or the ebay message service.

When you list an item there should be an option to use the intl. program to ship. Somethings might not qualify like a gas tanks. If the buyer purchases a item from you and they request a total from you, for some reason, it takes them out of the intl shipping program, then you have to handle the customs paper work and international shipping. Think I noticed the intl program a year ago, not sure when they implemented it.

When I have no idea what to think about something, I go with my "gut feeling". 98% of the time, its right. 2% I was close. If your uncomfortable, ask them ANY question you can think of. What if it's lost, stolen, smashed, insurance pays who, ???? ect., ect.

I've seen GSP offered by ebay now for at least a couple years. When I list an item, it defaults to accepting GSP and I have to uncheck that option. I prefer to sell only state side.

yep, it seems way easier to do it using GSP. No paper work, or international fees and such. I was first gonna ship it myself to Germany. Have lot's of experience shipping to Europe.

I use to sell model railroad Locomotives for a friend of mine that owned a hobby shop but had a stroke. He then asked me to sell his stock on commission. Italians like their railroad hobby!

Anyway, to ship the ST Frame usps wanted $86.50 and the buyer says he's Ok with that but I told him about GPS and we are gonna do it that way. I'll update with results.:tongue1:

bTW ST frame sold for $120, had the seat latch area busted out too so I'm good with that price.

I have used it in the past and it always works just fine for me the seller. Its cheaper for the seller to send it to Kentucky than it is to send it over seas. The buyer pay a the shipping it took to get it to kentucky and then the shipping it costs to get to the final destination. It opens your item up to a wider client base and it usually benefit the seller as it gets more bids.
