fork tube swap

I was wondering if the inner fork tubes from a 72 ct70 can be swapped to a 74 ct70. Mine are pitted on the 74 and need changed. I know the lower parts are different on the 72 because of the metal cover but I want to use the ones that came with the 74.

I'm pretty sure they will swap, but check the parts diagrams and compare the part #'s to be sure.

K1-`79 use the same inners. Only difference, K1 lowers don't have the shallow grooves to locate the lower end of the rubber boots/gators.
