Honda CT70H Engine Points

I have a Honda CT70H motor that has no spark. I have no power from stator plate. Looks like someone replaced the points. My question is I had a hard time pulling off the flywheel and when installing it is very hard to get on. It’s a Mitibishi stator. Is there a difference in the points and possibly they installed wrong ones. How do I tell the difference if any. Thanks

The points are all the same,, check to make sure the wire that goes from the points to the condenser in not shorted and the terminal on the wire that hooks to the points isn’t touching the coil.. also drag a piece of 320 sand paper between the contacts of the new points..some have a coating put on them when there new to keep them from rusting that needs to be removed. After sanding clean the contacts to make sure no grit is left on the contacts...if none of that works try another spark plug or a new condenser…it also needs a battery or at least a jumper wire on the black wire where battery plugs in. also check for wires chewed by rats or cut by someone..

Thanks I already have tried all of that except new condenser. I may just replace everything. Why does the flywheel fit so tight. To get it off I really have to pull hard and when replacing it I have to force it on.

About the points, do find a set that says mitsu only on ebay. No doubt you can run either points BUT the right set has the adjustment notches in the right places. That makes adjustment a lot easier. 4 into one has a set Mitsu only on ebay. You would need to take pictures of the flywheel issue. The flywheel puller removes the flywheel. You shouldn't be pulling or prying it off. It should not have to be forced back on. Sounds like some wrong parts, crank/flywheel, etc.

I ordered new points for the Mitsubishi Stator and I saw that the primary is also different but can’t confirm that. Thanks for your help.

A couple of good, close pics of what you're working with, COULD save a LOT of frustration...and typed words of blind guesses/advice.
