Honda has nothing to do with that motor. It's made by Jailing and for that specific motor, there is nothing honda about it. In fact, the GPX engine has a good chunk of lifan parts in it. It's a Jailing-lifan hybrid.

To answer your question, tboltusa.com or pitsterpro.com can help you. Pitsterpro is the importer and also owns USAmotortoys.

This is the site

I do not want to make a big issue out of this, (see Below)

I do have 5 originals in my garage and eaqually that amount of original engines I just need to get clutch parts but Jialing is part of Honda (see below) Maybe the bike engines are there own design but I have Lifen engines and the parts are not even close to this 125cc engine or I would have looked at using them for replacement parts. I contacted the Pitster Pro Guys yesterday and they do not have replacement so it looks like I'm up a creek for now. Problem with buying a Reproduction I guess. I'll probably open it up tonight as it's finally cooler here and see if I can match it up with something that is available.

Honda signed a technical collaboration agreement with Jialing Industry in China in 1981 to enter the Chinese motorcycle market and established a joint venture company, Jialing-Honda, in 1993, to begin production and sales of motorcycles under the Honda brand name. Honda now has seven joint ventures in China in the motorcycle, automobile and power product fields, operating market-oriented production and sales activities.

I understand the marketing hype around this, but Honda brands all of their engines with Honda and uses Honda specific parts with Honda replacement parts through Honda dealers. The Jailing-Honda relationship has nothing to do with your single cylinder 124cc engine. If you take the time to do more research you'll find this out and you are working off a link that has been circulating for some time. Additionally, when you take apart your engine, you'll see lifan and Jailing markings on the parts inside the cases. Honda doesn't have anything to do with the motor you own as it's made by Jailing and branded by a GPX. Jailing does partner with Honda on other things, but not single cylinder engines. Look at the markings on your cylinder. Here's your cylinder manufacturer for that engine:

The importer no longer brands their "GPX" motors as being affiliated with Honda either, unless they haven't updated their webpage on that specific product.

Lastly, see attached picture of your stator plate behind the flywheel. Those are lifan parts.

In summary, the GPX has engine parts from Lifan, Jailing, Gongyu and a ton of other companies in China. It's still a decent motor, but in now way affiliated with Honda, Jailing-Honda or honda's quality control when they have parts manufactured for them in China.

No Luck

I just got off the phone with Gary @ Pitsterpro no help, he refered me to a site hondatrailbikes.com he said they may have the parts. Looks like I am out of luck unless I can find a compairable replacement after I disassemble and measure what I got and try to find something close that will work. If I do I will post the match. That's what you get when you buy one of these REPRO bikes from china very few replacement parts - Beware!!

You need clutch plates or discs? Try to call or email vince @ tboltusa.com Their number should be on their website.

If the importer doesn't have parts, I'd be scratching my head over this.

Trail bikes has clutch plates for the Honda style clutches, and I don't know if they would fit your GPX.

Do you have the clutch discs and plates in stock at HOOPER for a GPX 125cc motor?? Heck I know I can about anything from honda to replace on the bike but this a unique engine mounted in this bike that's where the trouble is.

Your engine probably has the clutch that is mounted on the secondary shaft instead of the crankshaft.
Does your motor resemble the one in the attached pic??
Does your Cylinder jug say 120cc or 124cc???
There are 2 versions of this Lifan motor.
Crankshaft mounted clutches interchange between all Chinese (except Zongshen) models and Honda I`m pretty sure.
The secondary shaft mounted clutches are different and I`m not so sure about the interchange on them since I have never tore in to one.
There are a lot of pitbike racers running these motors and someone does sell replacements.
It may also be economical enough to get another engine assembly altogether.
check out www.thumpertalk.com in the pitbike section, you may get some answers there.

Exactly The Same as a Honda!

I took the clutch out of my Jialing 125 cc apart last night and found it to be exactly the same as the Honda CT 70, same exact spline size and everything. The only difference than my Honda 70's is it is a 3 plate design with the friction discs being 1/2 the thickness as a two disc clutch. Also, the clutch cover gasket was exactly the same I mean exactly!!! I used discs from a honda 3 plate auto clutch out of a 90 -110 works like a charm. Being an automotive supplier it was very disturbing as to their abliity to copy to the finite detail. Maybe the reliability of the parts is not as good as Honda but they are so exact that direct replacements of Honda OEM parts is possible to make them as good.

China is still a communist country. Since everything "belongs to the people" copyrights & patents aren't enforced. It's a double-edged sword, in that, the number of players in the market can grow quickly, but as the width of the playing field increases, the depth of product support decreases when nobody can make a living maintaining parts inventory. The end result is a lot of throwaway product but with so much direct copying, sometimes you can get lucky with parts interchanges. The hard part is doing the research.

you might try posting up on Planet minis or Fiddylife and try to find a complete GPX motor on there or see if someone is selling one.

this way you have a new motor and spare parts.

a lot of those knock off compaines can no longer bring motors into the states .

is that correct Dan?

you could also try and contact BrandX Minis - they alos use GPX motors.
