Lifan 125 rattle noise from clutch area

Howdy,

I have a new (under 50 miles) Lifan 125 that has a rattle noise that started from the clutch area. Does it just need adjustment? Seems to shift fine, better up than down.

Thanks,

Goob

I'd say that you had better pull that right side cover for a look. There is stuff spinning very fast under there. A loose screw or something could be just on the verge of causing a big problem. Is it a manual clutch? or auto?
Either way, I don't think a adjustment will cause, or cure, a rattle.

Kirrbby, I feel like an idiot! On further investigation..observation...my new chain has stretched and is vibrating as the revs drop off from revving up in neutral.

I also found out that the occasional noise from the front of the bike is just the speedo cable. I got a new cable, but the speedo connection (small square hole that the square end of the cable goes in) must be rounded out because the speedo works intermittently. When it "trys" to work, there is a buzzy noise that sounds like something to do with the front wheel.

Adjusting the chain and disconnecting the cable today. Going to get a USB powered GPS speedo to mount over the existing.

Thanks for your feedback!
