Manifold or Spacer?

Hey everybody, I just finished the install of the Piranha 90cc kit with the 19mm carb from TBolt USA and I am using the tb parts rotating spacer, in my z50 k2 and started her up. As you can hear in the video, I have what I describe as a chirp coming from the area of the base of the manifold, which I believe is an intake leak.

I am not sure if the spacer or the manifold itself is the culprit. Anybody have any suggestions to to stop the leak?

I bought one a long time ago and had the same issue. I would get rid of the spacer. Buy a intake that clears everything if the spacer is a must.

Thanks Old CT. I was thinking that might be my first item to swap out. I’ll give it a go and report back.

dirtbkr188 often recommends putting a thin layer of heavy grease on both sides of manifold gaskets to cure leaks.

You might also want to double check and make sure the spacer is seating squarely on the head, I used one after rebuilding an XR/CRF70 engine for a friend, and had to contour the front side of the spacer to seat it on the head, as seen in the pic below.

Thanks for the info. Yeah, I read the same thing and applied the very thin layer of grease.

OLD CT That did the trick! I got rid of the rotating spacer and was able to squeeze the carb and manifold assembly in there and she runs real nice like! Thanks for everyone's input!
