Hey everyone I figured I would post some pics of my K2 build, I just got her back from the paint shop and started assembling her yesterday. It never fails though when you think you have every part or piece to put one back together you always find something you forgot lol.

So I have learned a few things during the first week of my K2 build that I feel would be good info to others with a K2.

1. If you order a set of handle bars from CHP (maybe others but I used CHP's bars) and plan on using a NOS combo High Low Beam/Kill switch you will need to redrill the combo switch mounting hole for it to fit. I'll be posting some pics of my mounting location later.
2. If you order a wiring harness from CHP make sure you DO NOT order the wiring harness on their K2 page. It will not be correct for a K2 if you are going back original. You will need to order the wiring harness on their K3 page.

It may seem like I am ragging on CHP a little here but I am not, I do wish they would clarify better on a few of their products. Even with these few issues they do have some very quality products that I highly recommend.

Thanks Kirrbby, this one started off as just a frame. I had to search for all off the rest of it. I really enjoy when one of these old bikes lives again.

That’s no BS Robert I check CHP’s site twice a day to see if they have handle bars or engine guards in yet. Last time I called they were supposed to be in around the end of October but that didn’t happen 😔 I think my next project is going to be a full restore of my 78 CT90

Not in my wildest dreams would I have thought you'd have to spend the same time and effort to find reproduction parts as you used to do to find original nos parts
