New CT70 owner and a quick Q or 2

Howdy gents, new c70 owner here. I just picked up a rather neglected 81 c70, it's missing some bits and it's been a bit abused, but I'm excited to have it. Just poking around this site, I can tell it's a great resource with some very knowledgable folks and I'm glad to be here.

I have a feeling I'll be pestering y'all with all sorts of questions the deeper I get into this project but for now, I'll just ask if this the rectifier to get: http://dratv.com/rectifierk379.html I've seen quite a bit of older chatter of different rectifiers on the trail subs and am wondering if consensus says this is the one to get for the c70 or is there a better alternative?

Thanks in advance.

Not really alot of C70 owners on here that I'm aware of, but I would get the OEM replacement first, then experiment with the aftermarket stuff to see if they are better. If they end up being junk, you can always put the OEM one back as a back up.

Thanks, there's a local shop to me that. I like to support so I'll see if he can order me an OEM one.

And thanks for the tip, I'll start directing any Q's I have towards the tech sub.

There are a couple of us here with C70s. The general and technical knowledge regarding the 70cc engines is better here than anywhere else on the cyber. For chassis specific parts, the Yahoo group is ok, but most of the guts of the C70 overlaps with the CT and some of the other bikes so you're in a good place here.

No doubt, just looking at a few other threads, there is a wealth of knowledge here, one thread in particular about rectifiers made my head spin a little :). Good stuff.
