Photo Upload Issues?

Maybe it is just me, but recently I haven't been able to upload photos using the 'Add images from Computer' option. I click the 'Select Files' button and nothing happens. It use to work for me, but doesn't now. I've been having to use the basic uploader option and uploading one image at a time. Am I alone?

I've only encountered that type of problem sporadically. As best I can determine, it was due to browser settings. If you're using NoScript, or similar plug-ins, you've got some minor navigating to do.

Mine started doing the same thing a few weeks ago. Figured it was just my laptop. Never did figure it out. I also cannot start any photo albums in my profile page, just only change my avatar.

I thought it was me for the longest time, then I tried it on my desktop and realized it was happening to it as well. It happened at about the same time Ben pulled some plugins and cleaned up some scripts.

It's the select files button that isn't functioning.

P.S. I sent you an email the other day of another G redirect.

It appears this issue was caused by a corrupt .SWF file that was removed last month. I've restored a modified version of the file so that the image uploader plugin will work correctly. Please let me know if you are still experiencing issues. Also, don't forget to clear browser cache if it still doesn't work the first try.

@Dezdan - I'm aware of this issue and still actively pursuing a solution. I currently have a temporary workaround in place. If you continue to see these redirects, please let me know. Appreciate it!

If I use the photo upload button, it enters the forum as a clickable thumbnail. However if I copy n paste from photobucket, it shows up as a full size photo. Now if only I could figure out how to edit/remove that blasted thumbnail ! Also I've found that photobucket is the only way to enter a photo into a private message. I'm sure other image hosting sites may work as well.

If you click the 'Insert Image' button, select the 'From URL' tab and put your image link in, then uncheck 'Retrieve remote file and reference locally'. That should fix your thumbnail issue.
