I have a 1971 CT70 that I want to get running and make street legal for tagging and registering.

I also wanted to put front and rear blinkers on it to keep the fuzz off me lol
any one know of a good retro fit for them? or can i put an off the shelf switch and blinker relay in and it will work? please any help would be appreciated.
thanks.

No need to worry about the fuzz, its totally legal without them!73 or 74 i believe is the first year that they were installed from Honda.its rider choice,if you dont like using your hand signals.

I have a 70 KO myself, didnt have any blinkers on it, I didn't have a title, I installed blinkers from DR.ATV...

He had everything I needed, lights, relay, and mounts, I did most of the wiring myself, not very hard.

I don't blame you for not wanting the fuzz to bother you w/out lights, I get ALOT of weird looks on my bike, I got Hobbiest plates for it here in WI...took a long time to get everything to go through.....

good Luck

If you just want turn signals, I'd suggest sourcing a "universal" kit for 6v, preferably one that uses LEDs and can take it's power from the brake light circuit. The electrical output of these bikes is 50% imagination. Fortunately, power draw of LEDs is minuscule.

Source a Dax tail light bracket, it's virtually the same as your K0, but has mounting points for signals on either side of the license plate. You could simply fab a pair of mounts to add to your existing bracket, if you have the talents. That takes care of the rears. Up front, I'd clamp the signals to the handle bars. That solves two problems: avoiding permanent mods and damage. The headlight ears are the worst locations for signals, unless you want to guarantee breakage.

Hand signals are far more useful than electric ones, especially 6V electric ones. I would use hand signals. If your bike is a manual its a pain in the ass waiting to turn at a red light, in that case I would go through the trouble of getting electric ones put in

Now I own a 1973 Ct70 K2 and I was wondering :

-I have two wires that come out of the bike, just after the taillight bracket but are nowhere near long enough to go to the taillight. Are these turn signal wires? I have yet to come across a flasher hidden somewhere in the frame. I do have a turn signal switch however. When I test them I get no voltage out of them, in any key position. I am hoping in the end all I have to do is source two 6v taillights and voila, rear turn signals. Its probably worth noting that I have found nothing of the sort near the front however.

I don't mean to hijack the thread I think this is related, correct me if I am wrong.

Any thoughts?

I have a '74 and one blinker wire color is green and the other is orange. As far as the fronts go, they plug in inside the headlight bucket.
Here is a picture of the flasher. Its right below the fuse screw on cap.
