Sticker question

What is the correct color frame sticker for a hko?
is the trail70 supposed to be in orange or red?

the bike I'm working on is candy topaz orange.
The stickers on there now have the trail70 printed in orange.

Many restorations I see out there have the trail70 in red though.

I happen to have a extra set of stickers that are in red. But if that is not correct I want to find them in orange.
Please advise.

hey larry. these are pictures from an HK0 project i've yet to put on this forum… look forward to that thread probably in the next 2 months or so.

This is an original sticker, and it shows the correct position and color. CBG Hk0. Happy holidays/merry christmas.

There was only one sticker for all HK0 colors. Yours has faded some.

Orange is what they are supposed to be. Your decal may be faded but correct.

Are you sure orange writing is correct? It contradicts what others say as it is supposed to be red.

Ha ha...I see red too but .....see photos below, one orange and one red.....just saying..

I'm sure both are repos. I actually prefer Orange on a topaz

I've never seen an original decal that had red lettering, even the well maintained pristine examples that lived life indoors were orange. A friend of mine and his brother got a new pair of HK0s back in 1971 so next time I talk to him, I'll get him to look for all the pictures they took just to prove this.

I think the color is interpreted differently by the person lookin at it. Orangiered. The orangiered on the z50 k2 tank badges might be the same color. Then the guys who repop the decals push them one way or the other...

Do you know which supplier has the most accurate and cheapest priced repop hko stickers?
Accurate in color, the color between letters, and sizing of the letters?

All available decals have things about them that aren't like the originals. Other than the TRAIL 70 being on the red side, these are the about the most accurate I have found.

I've met that seller, bought some parts from him and he gave me some decals. He's a nice guy. That's my wife's home town.
