The Three Amigos... Sage, Dixie & Wingnut!!!

Took some pics of the kittehs this afternoon while hangin' out in the yard... enjoyed some quality hammock time as well, and I took another shot of that big forked Ponderosa Pine, the one in which I'm gonna build a crow's nest observation platform. Beautiful tree, lots of birds in it today, but not when I had the camera, LOL. The black kittehs have taken to standing by the birdbaths and drinking out of 'em... I change the water every time I drag the hose through the yard, but they still drink out of the baths, those knucklehaids. Meh, I have worm medicine here, and how are ya gonna keep a cat from being a cat? I'll post that pic first, I think it's Crackhead standing tall by the birdbath:

IMG_3238.jpg IMG_3239.jpg IMG_3240.jpg IMG_3241.jpg IMG_3242.jpg IMG_3237.jpg IMG_3243.jpg IMG_3243.jpg IMG_3245.jpg IMG_3246.jpg

Might as well break these pics into two posts, got too many for the limit... be right back, heroes!!! :red70:

Round 2 of kitteh pics:

IMG_3247.jpg IMG_3248.jpg IMG_3249.jpg IMG_3250.jpg IMG_3251.jpg IMG_3252.jpg IMG_3253.jpg IMG_3254.jpg IMG_3255.jpg

In that third shot, Crackhead just violently sneezed so there's a booger streamer out one nostril, LOL. Just thought I'd share that with y'all... better than him blowing snot rockets on my new carpet, 10-4??? I must say, Sage the Little Gray Tyger sure looks good for his age, he and I have been through a lot together. Jingle Belle is a real sweetheart, but Sage has been with me for a lonnnng time. :30:

P.S. Y'all can see how my lawn reseeding efforts turned out to be a complete dud... between the fierce heat wave and perhaps a bit too much fertilizer hurled in with the Steer-O and mushroom compost, that grass seed never had a chance. I'm hoping the monsoon rains will turn things around, and the soil needed to be amended anyway, right? Next year I'll plant high-elevation cactus, and to heck with all the time and money wasted on futile watering, LOL. :27:

FINALLY, the monsoon rains arrive!!! Went to the Depot on my way to the Renaissance Faire this morning, exchanged my 5-gallon propane tank and picked up some pavers for the lawn furniture... the whole pavers-under-the-BBQ thing worked so well that I'm gonna put pavers under the wrought-iron chaise-lounge and glider seat. Haven't edited the Hero cam footage yet, lot of profanity so it'll be a PITA, LOL. Meh, I'll get around to it, I've been caught up in some minor home rehab tasks lately, I really wanna get that cr@p done so I can move on with my life, 10-4? The Renaissance Faire was kinda podunk, but I picked up some dragon art and had a funny conversation with two fine-looking young(er) women, so it was fun after all. :4:

Saw a wreck happen on the Deuce of Clubs, just happened to look in my rearview mirror as some idiot in a pickup lurched right in front of a sedan with right of way on the main drag... the pickup was coming out of the Circle K lot by the Kiva Motel, the sedan cruising around 35-40 along the Deuce. Cr@p flew off both rigs as they collided, it looked like a cloud of plastic bits, pretty cool effects in retrospect. Some decent-looking young white gal was in the sedan, Injuns in the pickup... straight out of a Western, don'tcha know? All that was missing were the war whoops, LOL. Both rigs looked totaled, front ends heavily damaged... meh, first wreck I've seen up here, and first traffic jam too, LOL. I stopped to make a statement, you understand, not because I like cops but because I saw the whole thing clearly, and I didn't want the young gal to somehow get shafted by the law or her insurance company. Call it my good deed for the day, 10-4? :13:

As an aside, I posted some more rental notices for the room in my house, that one dude never showed so p!$$ on him, LOL... WTF, I'd rather have a gal in here anyway, not for the reason y'all might think, but because an older gal thankful to have a roof over her head might make a nice drama-free roommate, that way I don't wind up punching some fooliot in an altercation... or worse, LOL. Just gotta find a gal who doesn't mind a little loud music now and then, and some of my friends over for pool and BBQ action. I reckon there's one out there somewhere, and if not, I'll find some dude, just no tweakers, crackerheads, or Epic Darwin Failures, those trash are verboten on my property, 10??? :cc_hang:

Alright, here are a few pics I took recently, including pics of the birthday card my sis sent a week ago. Classic card, she knows I'm a cat person, LOL. I'll tape that card to the inside of a cabinet somewhere in the kitchen, so I see it every so often and get a laugh out of it. Who knows? I might even find a spot for it somewhere on an interior wall... it's a funny photo, so we'll see what happens. The other pics are self-explanatory, I tried to get glare-free shots of the dragon art but failed miserably, LOL, just know that the art looks better in real life than it does here... I'll probably put those two dragons in the Pool Room, I still have upper wall space there. Okay, here we go:

Kitteh pics as I watch Jeremiah Johnson on the curved screen... making an exception because I like this movie, everything else can wait till it's finished, LOL. Already went to town this morning to knock out a couple of tasks, so f#% it, I'll pull some home rehab later this afternoon. This movie sure looks good on the big screen, the cinematography is excellent. Here are the kittehs as they lounge in this bachelor pad from hell:

IMG_3679.jpg IMG_3680.jpg IMG_3681.jpg IMG_3682.jpg IMG_3684.jpg IMG_3685.jpg IMG_3686.jpg IMG_3688.jpg IMG_3689.jpg IMG_3690.jpg

That's the latest cat toy in a couple o' pics, not sure exactly what it's supposed to be, but it has catnip in it so the kittehs like it, 10-4? Already got two dozen cat toys strewn about the house, every so often I round 'em all up and dump 'em under the coffee table in the living room, that way the kittehs can scatter 'em again as I hurl the toys in every direction. :4:

Pavers I put under the wrought-iron lawn furniture this morning... I think I may add a strip in front of the glider, and put down a small paver patio in front of the BBQ (which is already on pavers). WTF, pavers are cheap, and whenever these monsoon rains kick in that corner of the yard will look good. The other shots are of Sage the Tyger in last night's crime scene on the motorized leather reclining sofa, the rockpipe must have fallen into the cracks, 10-4?

IMG_3698.jpg IMG_3703.jpg IMG_3700 (1).jpg IMG_3702.jpg

LOL... the BLASTED VARMINT!!! :13:

Hey, y'all, I've been remiss in posting the latest Hero cam footage, as I've climbed back on the home rehab horse, 10-4? Meh, no worries, I'm getting things done here under the tall pines, and that's what matters to me right now... I wanna get this home rehab DONE so I'm not dealing with it for the rest of my life, LOL. The Pool Room looks good, I added some décor along that upper wall strip, some cool wildlife pics and assorted other shots. Gotta tackle some trim painting later today, after I get cleaned up and run to the Post Office. I'm enjoying a cuppa java this morning, haven't had one in weeks... but it's cool enough here in Show Low this morning to enjoy a hot cuppa coffee. I sleep with windows open, weapons at hand, in the hope that some tweakin' crackerhead or burglar will TRY to rob my house... those fools make excellent target practice, don'tcha know??? It'll be a tough decision: do I use the Glock to ventilate that fool, or do I use the elephant rifle to blow a hole through which I can drive a truck? A big rig, I mean, not a pickemup truck, LOL. Maybe bust out the riot shotgun and introduce the tweakin' crackerhead to Mr. Double-Aught Buck... not big on thievin' trash round here, I've worked too hard for everything I own to tolerate that sorta criminal bull$h!t. Anyway, I'll get that Hero cam footage posted sometime this week, y'all will like the scenery along the Mogollon Rim, it is so beautiful up here in the so-called "high country"---I've soloed crags at twice the elevation, but I gotta admit, these White Mountains sure are pretty, and the wildlife here is amazing. Alright, youse monkeybiking hee-roes and crusty mini demons o' dirt, I gotta get cleaned up and get started, otherwise I won't get $h!t done before beer-thirty rolls around, LOL. :30:

I STILL LUV Y'ALL, JUST NOT IN THE EPIC DARWIN FAILURE SENSE, LOL... AND OLD CT, YER STILL A KNUCKLEHAID!!! :4:

Started to rain earlier, my excuse for not doing any trim painting today, even though the trim is all inside the house, LOL. Meh, I have about an hour or two of painting left, and all week to do it, so "FUHGEDDABOUTIT!!!" Think I'll crack a cold stubby and post some pics I took yesterday and today. Ah, yes, the bachelor life... I might hafta pay some gal to nag at me for an hour or so, just to remind myself how good I have it here in this castle under the tall pines. The gal can look like the latest Penthouse Pet, but once her hour is up, she's outta here, LOL. "TIME FOR YOU TO GO, DARLIN'... THANKS FOR THE MAMMARIES!!!" :4:

Check out these pics of the feeders I put up the other day, these White Mountain hummers are crafty, the nanosecond they see ya move they're off like NASCAR drivers, 10-4? The feeders are right outside the glass window panels, you understand, so the birds can see in as well as I can see out... I noticed that some birds split before I could bring the camera to bear, LOL. I'll hafta build duck blinds for each room, maybe buy a ghillie suit, or just rig the Hero cam and edit out the footage with no hummers. Meh, too much trouble, and I haven't even edited my birthday ride footage yet... :30:

Ms. Jingle Belle no longer gets excited by the hummers, she has figured out she can't do anything to 'em through the glass, aye? I snapped a few pics of her in her new blasé mood, nonchalantly ignoring the hummers even though they're mere feet away, LOL. Crackhead, now, he's not as smart as Jingle Belle. so he still gets worked up whenever a hummer appears... I'll try to catch him on the windowsill when a hummer is right outside the glass, so far the hummers have seen me every time I reach for the camera, and they're off like a shot every time. Maybe the Hero cam is the way to go, being so small and unobtrusive... :16:

That stone eagle is a Show Low landmark situated at the west end of town, I think it's BAD@$$, and l even snapped a photo with a big rig in the background, WOOHOO!!! Doesn't take much to excite us rednecks, we're not difficult to please, LOL. I like that mountain lion carving or sculpture, whatever the heck it is, and the smaller wooden eagle is rad too... one of these days, when the owner is out front, I'll ask him if I can snap a few pics, as long as I leave out the address numbers, yeah? Unlike city dwellers, most folks up here are pretty friendly, so he'll likely let me take a few pics. :41:

Same goes for the neighbor with the classic old tractor out front, that thing makes a statement, LOL. Don't know if y'all can tell from these pics, but his house is literally COVERED with cool stuff, old iron tools and wheels and whatnot... again, when I see this guy out front, I'll ask him if I can snap a pic or two, leaving out the address numbers. Seems friendly enough, I've waved when passing before... and I reckon only a cool hand would have all that iron crap on his wall, LOL. WTF, I'll offer him a beer or two in return for the favor, 10??? Alright, monkeybiking heroes & crusty mini demons o' dirt, here we go:

IMG_3729.jpg IMG_3727.jpg IMG_3728.jpg IMG_3739.jpg IMG_3744.jpg IMG_3741.jpg IMG_3743.jpg IMG_3747.jpg IMG_3733.jpg IMG_3735.jpg IMG_3730.jpg IMG_3731.jpg IMG_3736.jpg IMG_3737.jpg

Okay, time for this kid to grab a cold stubby, ain't no painting happening today, LOL. WTF, I'm the boss of this whole home rehab number, so the worst that can happen is I fire myself, tell the boss to go f#% himself, then grab a cold beer out of the fridge, 10-4??? Model employee??? I think not, LOL. Meh, I'll say the same thing I say to OLD CT after he botches some repair work: "BOY, YER FIRED!!!" :19: One of these days, I'll get the home rehab done... probably the same day I die, LOL.

Hmm, looks as if a few changes were made to my last post... maybe during site transition. Meh, no worries, here are some shots of additional feeders I mounted on brackets right outside the windows of the Pool Room. Now my guests & I can check out hummers up close as we shoot stick, LOL. I also include shots of the cross I bought in San Antone, I'm not particularly religious but I like the artwork, and maybe it'll keep the vampires away, 10-4? All I need now are some silver bullets for these pesky White Mountain werewolves... like all other wildlife here, these werewolves are BIG, LOL. Last shot shows Jingle Belle under one of the birdbaths, she has taken to lying beneath 'em to spook the birds, the blasted varmint!!! I noticed the wiring along the siding looks like $h!t in that one pic, something I need to fix when I get around to it... this may not be some big ol' mansion, but my home will be neat and tidy before I'm done with it, aye???

More trim painting today, I'm on a mission to knock out this annoying interior trim. The cats had better not get in my way, or they'll wind up getting painted, LOL. If you notice in my next round o' pics that the formerly-black cats are now white (Polar Bear tint), you'll know what happened. Now for a quick prayer: "O Lord in Heaven, let this be the last miserable goddam day of interior trim painting in my life!!!"

Knocked out that trim painting in the dining room yesterday, now I get to varnish the kitchen cupboards... oh, boy, I just can't wait, LOL. Took a few pics of Jingle Belle climbing a tree in the front yard this morning, Crackhead on the flagstones below, eyeballing the ascent. That Jingle Belle sure is one heckuva climber, she looks like a bird in the first two pics, swiveling her head while perched on that branch, LOL.

HaHa, CJ, I'm thinking "THAT SMELL" by Lynyrd Skynyrd, or "SNORTIN' WHISKEY" by Pat Travers... I'll hafta set up a photo shoot in the future, maybe toss a syringe in the mix if I can find one, LOL. The empty whiskey bottles won't pose a problem (I'll drink the contents first), and I suppose some sugar or flour from the kitchen can provide the "lines." I'm not sure what to do about passed-out hookers to either side, maybe one or two of Bulletproof Red69's blow-up dolls will work, LOL.

Had to dredge up a Pat Travers video for the youngsters at this site, LOL. Looks like some dude's hairy @$$ on the beach, they coulda left that one out... but the party girls don't look too bad, even though each one of 'em means a trip to the STD clinic within 72 hours, guaranteed, LOL. Gotta admit, ol' Pat knew how to play guitar, even if ya don't like that style of music. Here we go, I'll hafta prime the kittehs by making 'em watch the video, 10-4?

Thought about going trail riding today, but home rehab suffers whenever I do that, LOL... meh, WTF, it's Friday, the home rehab might get drop-kicked like I'm starrin' in the NFL. The FrankenBike is ready to go too, it's in the other shed under the carport, so it'd be EASY to load it up and hit the trail. But first, a cold stubby (or two) for breakfast, followed by leftover BBQ material, eggs & cheese wrapped in a tortilla, WOOHOO!!! :red70:

Couldn't sleep, so the kittehs and I have been watching a veritable parade of skunks through the 'hood... had a coon earlier, I'm glad I brought the cats in early tonight. That damned coon was on my front porch, and he wouldn't go away when I clapped my hands and told him to beat it... the insolent varmint, I should've blasted him with the 12-gauge, but folks frown upon that sort of activity here in the subdivision. The houses are far enough apart, but they're not THAT far, if ya gets my drift, LOL. Ah, well, at least the kittehs are safe, I'm gonna hafta watch them with all these varmints around, and try to get 'em inside before it gets dark. :cautious:

Noticed something else recently, now that summer is in full swing... we have one of those yellow sodium or low-sodium street lamps out front, and the bugs have been flocking to that thing at night, right? Well, at least two opportunistic bats have been feasting on the bugs, flying back and forth under the light and scooping up bugs by the truckload. Like everything else here in the White Mountains, these bats are BIG... they grow 'em large in these parts. Not quite as large as bull elk, but darned close, LOL... it was a trip, watching them gorge themselves on insects till there were no insects left. Meh, insect control is good, so more power to the bats, which generally get a bad rap for all the wrong reasons.

I'm debating whether I should have a beer before I try to get some sleep... wasn't in the mood earlier, I only had two beers before I macked an excellent beef roast I cooked in my NuWave Infrared Oven. That oven works great for roasts and whole chickens and whatnot, I haven't tried much else in it except homemade deep-dish pizza, which turned out pretty tasty. Supposedly, this type of oven works well for vegetable dishes and casseroles too, I just haven't tried those recipes yet. It does a bang-up job on beef roasts, I made mine rare to medium-rare and topped the slices with mushroom gravy... green salad on the side, that was all I needed. Oh, yeah, I put "Cowboy Rub" on the roast before cooking it, so that added to the flavor. :)

Took some pics of the kittehs earlier, and a few pics of the roast with the "Cowboy Rub" on it, LOL, but they'll hafta wait till later, I'm not in the mood to mess with 'em now. I'm thinking cold stubby and perhaps another plate of that beef with gravy on it, that stuff was delicious. Beef is nice & lean too, no worries about having seconds... it was just a top round roast, but it was the best one I could find at Safeway. On sale too, which is how I always shop, no point in wasting money on expensive cuts when ya can bag a big ol' roast for $7, LOL. I don't mess around when it comes to buying meats, I go for the value packs or whatever is on sale, it's the only way to go... value packs are great for the BBQ because you'll have plenty of leftovers, 10-4? I'm big on leftovers... (y)

WELL, GUESS I'LL GRAB THAT BEER AND GO FROM THERE... I'M SUPPOSED TO GET UP EARLY TO GO TO THE SWAP MEET, BUT I RECKON IT DOESN'T HAVE TO BE THAT EARLY, LOL.

Shots of the kittehs & the beef roast I had last night:

LOL... alright, heroes, time for a cold one, WOOHOO!!! :red70:

Whooooooowheeeeeee!!! It is DUMPING rain here, BIG-TIME, this is the kind of downpour I think of when I hear the term "monsoon." Streets awash, rain pelting the roof and metal awning, Sage & Jingle Belle running into the house soaking wet, the air so wet it feels like it's raining indoors... I grabbed a towel and gave the kittehs the treatment, so they're okay now, LOL. Had a few terrific claps of thunder, so I'm thinking the kittehs will probably settle down inside for awhile... they don't like thunder much, not when it's this loud.

P.S. This heavy and steady rain is just what the doctor ordered for my lawn...

If i were one of those cats i would be pissed that i don't go on minibike rides with the little kitty helmet, little kitty goggles, and little kitty biker jacket.

I'm just sayin sidewinder, your cats look bored and may be holding a grudge....i would.
