Stopped by a local thrift store the other day a found this 1975 Bell Star II helmet sized 7 3/4. Had a price of two bucks tagged on it. The shell, leather straps, and liner are in good shape but the soft foam needs replacement. The paint has just a few chips but it still shines nice. I'm now on the hunt for an original style face shield for it. Love a good thrift store find.

Hondaline is one of my favourite ebay searches. Great find for Garage memorabilia, maybe not so great for riding - wouldn't recommend a used helmet for the street.

Hondaline Snell '75 nut cracker here too! Had to make a base guitar strap for my older bro in '86 for this one.
Great score bevelsd! I am interested in how you reline it.

I will see your 75 Bell Star, and raise you my 72 Buco "Enduro" . Thanks for motivating me to go up in the attic to find this relic. This was the helmet I bought when I spent my life savings on my then new 1972 SL70. Good times!

Brand new in Box

1986 Bell Prostar - the same helmet I had with my '85 Interceptor 750.

helmet.jpg Found one of the old helmets my grandfather used to have in my brothers shop today. Needs new liner. The outside of it is covered in a hard clear plastic and the paint is not scratched. The color looks real close to ruby red(in good light). I think the maker of it is Grant. Would make a great helmet for someone that has a candy ruby red minitrail. Anyone interested, just pm me.

You look like Evel Knievel. Not sure you could jump much though.

I'm not too sure the laws of physics apply to those who strap on such a fine piece of headgear :16:

Come right down to it, Evel never really jumped much either - he 'cleared' quite a lot, but if I recall tended to come up short on the landings...

I remember the ruby red and the stars & stripes ones at Kmart. Do I remember right that the stars & stripes being Grants also? While not as old as some of these I do still have my Bell Moto Star, complete with visor and bad foam,I'll have to dig it out

My favorite was when he attempted to jump the Snake River Canyon, he might as well been on a Scud.

Here is a successful one.
