Hi all I figured this was the best place to ask this question.
I have a 1970 trail 70 Gold in Color manufactured Feb 1970, it's actually older then I am.
The CT70 is probably a 7 on a scale of 1 to 10, it has 891 original miles and I'm the second owner. I have the original title in hand. Here is my question.
My first preference is the Candy Saphire Blue color, I know there's no paint codes to tell what color the bike was originally. So should a guy tear this one down, and paint it the color he wants, or should I just leave this one all original, and find another one to rebuild. I guess what I'm asking is this bike worth more the way it sits, or is it more desirable to a collecter like this, or if I restored the whole thing?
Hope I didn't lose you, cause I lost myself in there somewhere. lol. I think if a guy was going to do a total restoration, he might just as well find a basket case, instead of tearing down a low milage original that still runs strong. Any hints?
Thanks in advance, sorry it's so long,
Wally
