FOR SALE What do you think I should ask for it?

Hey guys,
Going to sell my CT70K3. I put 4K into it knowing I wouldn't make it all back. I just wanted to restore one of these little bikes to the best of my ability, (thanks to all of your help) and as close to original as possible. It has 13 miles on it, making sure it runs, shifts, stops and drives as expected. I do not have a title for it.
Please let me know what you think? Be honest, I already know I'll lose some money on it but to me it was worth it for the experience and fun.

Thanks

I think you are under estimating yourself. I think it will bring at least 4000. Nothing to lose doing a buy it now for that. It's just that ebay and paypal fees will take a bite out of the 4000. It's a sharp looking resto, done right.

I totally get what you are saying. I have a 72 CT70 in my basement waiting for a little TLC. : )
If you have someone that will go ridding with you, having two bikes is way more fun and more safe. When I go ridding the backroads, I would definitely rather have someone with me.

You did an amazing job. I like it.

Feebay can be hit or miss at times. It is the right time to sell (Spring). I'm guessing low to mid $3,000 unless you are lucky enough to get two bidders that like it as much as we do. Good Luck.

My eBay estimate is $3,500. Your bike is the right color and I think you'll get close to all your money back. If you do sell on eBay a title is helpful. In my experience early in the year is actually better than spring. I have found February and March to be very good as well as September October. April should be a great month with tax returns and spring but the last few years it seems like things have slowed starting in April into the summer.

In my opinion, the k3 is a great motorcycle and should be worth more than a k0. they are a better motorcycle, more expensive to restore, and there are fewer of them. My favorite bikes of all time are the HK1. A KO automatic will almost always bring more money than an HK1. An HKO is the most desirable in my experience follow closely by a silver tag KO. again, this is just what I have experienced, and I don't think it makes complete sense. The later model bikes are better for an adult rider and the production quantity was far less. Also, K0 parts are easily found reproduction and that is not true for the later bikes.

I've sold a lot of CT70's on eBay. I think I'm about done doing that. My last eBay advice, I have been most successful with the auction style listing with a reserved price. However, with a potentially less desirable model, broadly speaking, and in a slower time of year I have found the buy it now price very effective. when you don't have as many bidders the auction is not great. if it were me, and I was ready to let it go, I would list it for high 3's as a buy it now and a best offer. You'll have people contact you.

Well I put in on auction with a reserve of $4000.00 and a buy it now of $4500.00. With 2 days left to go bidding got up to $3,850.00 then was sold for the buy it now price. Thanks for all your help. It was sorely needed.

That's fantastic! I can't remember an orange K3 selling for that amount. This is great news for all CT70 Trail bike fans.(y)
