What K version is a 78 CT70

Hello,

First post.

When I am looking at sites for parts for my 78 CT70, many show K1,K2,etc.

What K version is a 78 model?

Appreciate any info.

Honda abandoned the "K" model designation when the feds began requiring a model year declaration, in 1975. Thus, the K4 was the last and it's referred to as 1975 or K4 interchangeably. From that year onward, the "K" suffix was replaced by the last two digits of the model year (since model year production usually spanned parts of more than a single calendar year). So...the lineup goes from CT70K4, to CT70-76, CT70-77, CT70-78, etc. If yours is a 1978 model, it's painted black and will have 1978 in bold face type across the VIN tag.
