Wiring Harness

Other things keep getting in the way of this project. It's a restomod mostly from the leftover pile.
I keep getting pulled away and distracted.
1977 CT-70 frame,
Nice 142cc from Fatcaaat.
all the bits that I thought were cool.

I'm having some wiring issues.
I'm actually good at, and enjoy wiring, but sometimes the 'Trons don't cooperate.
I've zorched 2 wiring harnesses, 1 due to a faulty, but very cool looking Amazon turn signal,
1 due to something I haven't yet located.

All the wires are coming out and I'll start again with no used electrics.

What's the consensus on a cdi, bits & wiring harness?

Appreciate your sources and recommendations.

Personally, I don't think it's a good idea to be using an automotive battery with 850CCA to do your testing/wiring, I have to think the Amperage has a lot to do with cooking things, but I might be wrong.

Very cool bike mike!
@MiniBike Mike’s Garage has a video, and tons of good info for 12v swap wiring.
I've done a few... I buy a standard used or repop K3 type wire harness...turn signal type...then just make the needed mods for the CDI, reg/rec, etc. Especially if you're a handy wiring guy...it's not too difficult. The keyswitch you choose, matters. A stock Honda switch mates up to the repop harness. Then the rest is just necessary mods.

I'd hit up @fatcaaat to recommend the CDI. Whichever one he was running on your new engine.

We'll be interested to hear what you think of that hot rod when you get er done.

Here's a link.

Thanks Kiirbby,
I'll keep you updated.
I went ahead and ordered the Trail buddy harness.

What is your favorite source for the repop K3 type harness?
I do like having the Honda key.

Fatcaaat recommended the trailbikes CDI, only because he's never seen one fail.
I have 2 CDI modules in the parts drawer that I believe are new. I'll give them a try.
