Z50 early petcock

Are these rebuildable?

Had a spare, can't seem to locate . Haven't taken one apart in a while to know what part is bad.. a brass washer? A rubber gasket ?

Just juiced up my tank with gas and the petcock is leaking out. Seeping around the twist mechanism.

Fuel tube isn't right.. just a piece of R/C nitro tubing I had laying around

There is just a single oring in there...but it's metric. You can probably find one that's close enough, or order the correct one.
Just remove the screw completely, then pull the handle straight out with a little twist.
Try to save the fuel screen/filter that goes up into the tank, if it's still good. The new ones will only fit if you drill them out a touch.

... looks like part #15 on the older early style.

I don't see #10 available on the list. Never saw partszilla.

Thanks for posting that though.

The way I'm reading that microfiche you can buy the complete petcock assembly like the one you have for $19.24 (part#1)

Not sure if that's actually the case the same part is still available . If someone has recently purchased one and can vouch that would be great. I'd rather buy a couple gaskets and hang on to them rather then roll the dice on another part I may not need. Clearly all the metal components are good it's the replaceable gasket that has gone bad.

If you search ebay, there 75-100 bucks for a used one. The other style (very common) seem to be a dime a dozen. Priced between 7 and 15 bucks on top of more of them are readily available.

Also, I'm not 100% the parts zilla is spot on accurate. As I was searching populating a list of items I may need.. some of the numbers did not match up with the description .

That part is discontinued. What you see is the price from back when the part was last available/sold which in this case was probably many years ago.

Also parts get superseded with updated numbers when a mod or replacement is made to the official up to date parts list. This was to support the dealerships selling replacement parts to customers.
