z50a Headlight Ears

Would anyone happen to have the specifications of the little Headlight tabs that hold the light housing on? I assume it wouldn't be that hard to have a local shop cut them out and I could just weld them on?

Mine appear to have been broken off in a previous life and I would like to have the refabed.

Your file might be to large to post. If you upload it to Photobucket or...then cut and past the img code the size won't matter

Your best bet might be to pick up a old set of z50 fork tubes off of Flea-Bay and just use those. I just bought a set of 69' z50 forks to use on my ct70. I was going to grind off the headlight bucket ears, cause I don't think I can use them with a ct70 headlight bucket. They are yours if I can't use them.

I'm guessing those are a stamped part and not a machined part. Would probably cost more to have a shop make them than a new set of forks.

First, thank you very much for the offer. Heck, mine are already ground off we can just swap:)

If they don't work just let me know what you want for them. Again, thanks for the advice. I also, found out that I think I'm going to have to do the same for my taillight mounting bracket.

No problem. I'm waiting on my mailman to deliver the forks. I'm not sure about the taillight, not too familier with the z50's. I'm using the forks on my ct70 to lower the bike.

We could swap but shipping would probably $20ea. If I can't use the ears you can have them for nothing, I can throw them in a envelope you pay a couple bucks for shipping.

Thanks msisteroldschool. I believe I saw those somewhere else and i'm still considering them. I also, have been looking online and it seems you can pick up a set of used forks with the ears fairly cheap. My thought was then to try to weld, grind and bondo them back on and see how they look?

Thanks for the heads up.
