Oh Happy Day!?
This morning bright and early they start dumping rock in the lot behind my house and to the left. I climbed a ladder , took these pics. They dumped rock right in the middle, that's no way to start building a house...I always thought that lot was way too small for a house, hopefully it will be just a landscape park area for dogs or something. That would be great, the less houses the better!!;). There's already a park directly behind my back wall, so that would make sense. Tried asking workers but most dont even know and just take orders it seems, their English isnt great either.

Yep, they are building something back there, moved in some big rocks today.

I'm no expert, but a cement foundation is poured when first constructing a house, yes? Dumping piles of rocks looks more like a rock park or a Rock-house for the Flintstones!
YaBaDaBaDoo!
All through the loud as hell rock moving and construction, the golfers Still Golf, they play like they are possessed!:devilish:

I Like Rock. Hey OC,I always wanted a real ROCK & ROLL Trail!

LOL!:D
That rock is piled at least ten feet high behind my casa....maybe the guy was drunk lol....100_0023 (2).JPG

You don't see any walls around folks houses on the east coast, like you have. I dig it. High winds ain't blowing that sucker down! For sure a western thing.

Yeah, we have two thing in High-abundance out here; rock & sand and plenty of it! They set up cement plants by just drilling into the side of a mountain. Ive seen em do it. There's a bunch out here and Vegas too. Makes brick walls kinda inexpensive..

This house has so much cement/ masonry in it it feels more like a building than a house... With the mountain right near and that crazy wind:eek:that can come up, if a front should blow through, it needs to be..... i'm glad they got it figured out, this house makes it comfortable.
My hats off to the early settlers of this town who had it not-so-easy....

In the early days of this town, these parts were known for mostly their legal brothels, road houses and gambling casinos. Manufactured homes (trailers) is all they pretty much had available to them. That's why the town always got a bad rap imho.

Hey red69 If it ain't broke:D,

They just tore down this big castle brothel (ahem) I mean gentleman's club:rolleyes: about two weeks ago! It was the first building you saw as you approached town, I guess they're trying to move that stuff further off of the main roadway.

So it rained today, that mystery lot behind my casa is now rocks & mud! I have decent confidence that it will Not be another house.!!

Looks like burial grounds to me. Take your pick; natives or mob.:sneaky:
They should be safe there.

That's kind of the plan. Going to get a vapor blaster and all kinds of good stuff.....
A vapor Blaster? That's a new one to me but sounds cool. This is a great place to ride Trail bikes and to build em too! Its not as hot up here as Vegas and cools off faster.
Good luck getting out of Vegas, the market looks pretty hot still... I found it a 10 on the Stress List!:coffee: Happy to be out of the NLV!
This place is well worth it though, more house for the buck$ and lots of friendly folk!;)

Couldn't get to the Trail bike this weekend, had to change the oil and wash my Tracker but I got one bench set up in the garage! Setting up the shop is slowing things a bit but needs to be done right! Now the decision is Vavoline 10w - 40w or Castrol 20w - 50w? I'm kinda partial to thr Castrol for the heat in this high desert... !100_0130 (1).JPG

Yep, the other thing that is equally important is the oil Filter! Fram sucks dont use em. I use Royal Purple oil filters. No cardboard or plastic one-way valves used like Fram does now made in mexico. They have a vid on YouTube that shows the insides of most filters...the orange fram can is plastic & paper .... cheap crap :poop:
