I have one on the way...so can't answer till it gets here. Sent the dude multiple picture and measurements from an nos seat to use.

The K1 seat he made the same way looks great.

I have one of their seats on my restomod, check it out under the photos post. I like it, however it is different from the original. If you going for 100point resto then don't bother, if you are going to ride the hell out of it then it's great.

Like anything else it's a split decision. If you're not too picky about the appearance and the foam, it should bolt right on without issues. The price isn't bad, considering that it actually includes the 6V toolkit holder. The cover isn't going to please the purist/resto crowd, but it doesn't look bad at all. Unless something has changed, the foam will be overly hard. Not a ripoff by any means and I have the impression that these guys actually listen and have some interest in product improvment. How far they've progressed at this point is $64 question.

If nothing else, you'd be getting a new seat pan in the deal. However, if your plans include changing the cover/foam or going with a more original high-gloss paint, you'll could easily end up spending more than just starting off with a vintage OEM pan, including restoration of the pan itself + sourcing new foam (molded repro or custom-made) & cover (repro).

FWIW, if you think the sides look too tall, check out a K1 without the trim installed. A small change can have a huge visual impact on the apparent profile.

I think in the whole scheme of things, for the price, you really can't go wrong, I know I really like the K1 seat they offer, and I had there first KO seat, wasn't bad, better than the alternatives at the time, and this looks like they have listened and improved on there product, give them credit it has to be better than whatever you will put together for $150!I don't need one at the moment but in the future I will give them a shot. My 2cents

I bought one of these seats and it's not a perfect match. The shape of the seat is off. The sides are too tall and shaped incorrectly. It's an excellent daily rider seat (very comfortable) but, it's not what a perfectionist would be pleased with. I sold it and bought a better matching seat.

Bill, I think they have re-done the seat since the one we had, Don

Since I dont have show bikes, yes I would buy it.

Is there a better deal some place else?

How one defines "better deal" is purely a judgement call & completely up to the individual... which was the whole point. I simply provided details to facilitate making an informed decision. This isn't a true/false or multiple-choice quiz...more like an essay exam:26:

Took less tan a week to get and for 150.00 shipped it's the best repro I have seen....side hieght is the same as the original Dennis but the front side angle is a bit off which makes it appear taller.
