alright here are the pics. the piston looks crappy but i could polish but its not a problem if i have to buy one. i also took the pics in the cyl. wall of these little craters. im thinkin that it might leak out air but im not quite sure.im replaccin the rings and gaskets for sure.im just iffy on...

i took the cylinder head off and saw very small little holes similar 2 craters but the piston had no scratches whatsoever will put pics up on fri for sure. im a little affraid for the holes will let copression go down.im gonna buy new rings and polish everythin and paint the engine. anyway...

well the cylinder is rusty and oily but not scratched the piston top looks like crap as you can see.but have not removed the cylinder headwill do and give pics hey is it bad if the cylinder walls are rusted if so how will i take that off without scratching the wall? usually the engines i work on...

ok guys cleaned the head completely polished you name it.the valves are seated ok but the problem is i need to restore compression to the engine at least to 120psi, valves timed perfectly and the valves spaced/gap/... in the pic i put 2 of my fingers on the bolts that cant come out and trust me...

i took the dressup off the engine (valve tappets, etc,) and found out that the timing is of by about a 96 degree angle so hopefully it will work.any sugestions? (will fix)

im thinin honestly to restore it if you truly want it.fixing or building bikes and cars is a passion you have thats why we are all here. if you had good memories with it why not? im sure a carb rebuild, points,condenser,and tune up will get it runnin.its all yor choice.

thanx dave i will check that out.i checked the timing and the timing dot was a little bit off it seemed approx half of the dot off. i will just have to take it off and check it all out. if any1 else has any suggestions that would be gr8 thanx. oh ya iam pretty sure though the bikes valves...

hey guys got spark to the honda about 4 weeks ago . so i rode my bike all da way 2 autozone today 2 buy fuel starterspray so it would start up shot some in the sparkplug hole and nothin. It has spark for sure, kicked it over with fuel starter and nothing... so i ran ran an engine compression...
