Yes, you still need the spacers. The sealed bearings are the same as the originals, except they're sealed on both sides, instead of only one side. You will still need the rubber grease seals too.
The spacers are structural. Expect rapid, catastrophic, failure if you leave them out. Since you're doing a restoration, you'll still want to install the grease seals...it'll look weid without them.
