A couple bikes that are worth a look.

I would pass on this one. Repainted a ''odd color'', looks like they used any type of bolt they had in a bucket. Usually they will be too long and do damage. Aftermarket cheap 40 dollar ebay head that may just let it ''barely run''. Bent handlebars. Aftermarket carb. There are better bikes for 2000 dollars to be had. Horrible pictures to sell a bike without proper engine and frame numbers listed. I am not saying the engine is incorrect, but they didn't list the numbers. If you went to the guys house and test rode it, you may offer him $1000.00 bucks. That's as high as I would go. That's if it rode well and hit 42 mph. That bike is a beater.

Iv noticed several bikes lately on eBay that went for what I thought was super cheap. I just wish some of them were closer to Texas!

Thanks Kirrbby I picked up a rough 1979 z50 off one of your links. He also had a yellow z50k1 that sold quick and a ct70k0 missing the motor. My wife would have killed me if I loaded up two in the suv while we were on vacation.

Yes that was it! Makes sense now why I couldn’t find the link in this thread. I didn’t take a good look at the ct70 but it was still there when I left.

Gotta share a story after reading your post again...
I bought a buy it now CT70 HK1 on eBay for a song. Good lookin but dirty corner of the barn bike. Maybe 175 or 225 bucks. It was in Virginia, about 1hr 15 minutes from my mother's house. Bought it about 2 or 3 weeks before a planned trip for a small family reunion, knowing I'd have to load it into Wifey's Saturn and she'd be...complaining, ALL the way home about the smell, or sight of it...ANOTHER minibike..."can't even take a vacation"...
Well...cut to the chase...I pansied out...never picked up the bike...never even mentioned it to Wifey... Contacted the seller and told him to just keep my money and resell that bike. "Sorry for the BS and thank you for everything."

Wow that ones rough. Makes that z50 look like a gem!

I had never bought a bike off eBay before. It happened to be located about 5 hours from my house, but we were on holiday that week and it ended up only being 5 mins from the rental. Told my wife I was interested in looking at a “parts bike”. Told her if would most likely have not have any gas left in it. Guy was super cool, let me come and take a look at it before I purchased. Tank was clean and it was only missing the kickstand, lower fork legs and throttle tube. He ended up throwing in another set of wheels in addition to the bike. By this time she is getting worried about space with luggage and three kids in the suv. Que the guy rolling a 69 z50k1 to show me. She drew the line at ONLY 1 mini bike! lol.
Turned out it had already sold to a gentleman in Bakersfield California, so there was nothing to worry about.
Only adds we see for ct70’s and z50’s in the Seattle/Tacoma area in the last few years are wanted adds and the occasional Swiss cheese tank, locked up engine variety for $1700 plus.
