View attachment 16622View attachment 16623View attachment 16624 Didn't the K0 Dax come with a engine guard? I noticed there are holes in the neck for one.

The early "TypeII general export" model Dax in the photos did not come from the factory with an engine guard. The CT70 got the engine guard, the ST got the lift handle; both frames had both sets of threaded bosses.

There's a lone exception and it's a wild card...some JDM models came with the CT70 engine & plug guard asm. Japan got the wildest mix of ST models, with a mind-boggling number of ST/CT parts combinations, along with some unique color choices.

Is it me or is it bent/dented/creased on the left side frame just above of the warning label?
I figured that must just be a shadow. Can't imagine he wouldn't mention it if it were dented. Would be a good question to send him. I wish someone would buy this thing so I can quit scheming. I'm liking this one, and it's close. I'm going to stop and buy a couple lottery tickets on my way home. That's my plan:)

Go get it Kirrby!I highly doubt Bob would paint a bent frame.Optical illusion.IMO.You couldn't start a restoration this cheap. The seller paid more for the engine/frame resto than he's selling it for.Good buy for a local without shipping.

If I had the beans it would already be mine. It would take me a couple weeks to scratch it up but I will be watching this one closely. Im sure my lottery tickets will pay off anyway so I should be able to click the button in a couple hours. I'm feelin lucky.

Price dropped on this one. Looks like a gooood buy at $1500.
Dunno how I missed this post when it was still current. That bike was a steal at $1500. The frame was solid & straight before the CEG went on. And rebuilt engines don't get any better than this one...all of the usual items were replaced, plus it got an NOS crank, NOS cam and new OER shift forks. Even the spark advance assembly was torn down to individual pieces, then cleaned & lubed. That motor felt really strong during the couple of test miles I put on it. The one-piece flywheel cover and polished intake are curious additions, though.

Oh ya, I seen it. He says case damage on that bike too. I didn't mean to insinuate that it was a good deal, just a deal. Looks like a lot of crap to me. Good crap tho.
