Have any bogus parts been known to be made or are some of the repro bike parts being sold as GENUINE HONDA parts? I just got an NOS headlight off of EBay shell and the thing is just crap.
There are all kinds of parts offered through fleebay...OER, OER, reproductions ranging in quality from excellent to The term NOS is misused frequently. Sometimes, it's an honest mistake; I've seen plenty of NOS items that were not listed as such. Where things turn shitty is when it's an unscrupulous seller deliberately misleading potential buyers; a lie is what it is. FYI, there have been loads of cheap & dubious chineezy parts produced, emblazoned with "Made in Japan", "Japan" and even "Honda"; it's not like these are hard to recognize. Knockoff carburetors are the most common, and easily spotted. As always, it's buyer beware...
The ones that get me ticked is when they lay their cheap repo junk china part next to a OEM Honda parts bag:102: Seems a lot of over seas sellers pull this trick.

How about the user who sells repop cables. He never mentions aftermarket in the listing but instead says "as nos" As nos...what does that mean??
Also people will list stuff as NOS that's actually a new old aftermarket part. In reality, NOAS. They never mention aftermarket unless you ask, then they say, "Hmm, I don't know."
I got in touch with the guy I bought the bogus headlight shell, says send it back and he will refund 100%. What sucks is Ive got more parts in-route from Tailand. I should have known NOS reflectors and bases were too good at $30 shipped but who knows,I might have gottin lucky. At least I won't be buying anything else NOS Honda from Tailand.
