I wonder where one gets all the chrome pieces this bike has? I especially ant to know where the "H" Logo side emblems come from? I would like a set of those side badges.

There's not nearly as much chrome on this bike as you think. Most of the shiny bits are polished alloy, not chrome. Looks like the fork legs may have been lathe-polished to get rid of the gold anodizing and bring up the luster. The engine covers are aluminum, as are the swingarm and tubeless wheels. The RH outer is an aftermarket CF Posh stamping; the flywheel cover is a highly-polished stocker. Honda castings can be taken close to a class 1 finish...only the chainguard is chromed. The top triple tree must be made of a hard aluminum alloy to get the mirror-finish. With my bikes, I know the alloy used for the triples and what it takes to get the "shaving mirror", true class 1, polish. It's a nice look, if a tad high-maintenance. The oil catch tank is polished aluminum, but a softer alloy. The Tri-oval exhaust is flame-colored titanium.

It'd take in excess of $15K to replicate that bike. At that level of custom build, a lot of parts can be custom machined & fabricated, that's part of the deal. Custom sidebadges aren't that tough to get CNC'd, if you're willing to pay the price and it's the designing, drawings and setup that take most of the money...that's how unusual versions get offered for sale. It's the only way to recoup the up-front costs.

I knew Riding motorcycles could cause bodily harm.

But lubricating a brake cable???

Yeah that caused one arm to go numb (left) then the right arm went numb about 10 seconds later. I remember thinking " WTF" and looking at my hands brake lever in right cable in left. Then in the next few seconds I felt the pain. Oh yeah the pain from hell. Also with the pain the pressure... the feeling of an elephant sitting on your chest come to mind.

Oh Crap ! ( not the real words used) I knew exactly what was happening. I knew I had about 15 minutes to get help! Now the difficulty breathing and uncontrollable sweats started. Complete saturation. Fortunate for me my wife was off that day. I managed to find her and collapsed. All I could utter was "HELP, HEART ATTACT".

Fortunate for me she had the smarts not to call ambulance. They would take too long to arrive and I would not make it. Some how she got me to her Jeep and off we went through red lights horn blaring .
I was proud all my car collecting and high speed driver training paid off. We got to the hospital 6 miles down a highway in less than 6 minutes. I was keeping an eye on my watch I knew I had 15 minutes to get nitro glycerin ort medical help. At the ER door we were at just under the 12 minute mark. It's about 8:30 AM an not a soul to be found at the ER for help. My wife runs in and I am still in the car. I remember yelling "HELP, I am having a heart attack". Finally a security guard heard me and then help arrived Into the ER on the table. I was out after a jugular IV. Next thing I know I wake up 24 hrs later with a tube down my throat an in total darkness in an ICU. Talk about a empty feeling??

Well I made it through and I am back. I tried to get on this site at the hospital but they had it blocked .:scooter:
Thanks for all well wishes
Morale of this Honda CT70's are dangerous to you health. :24:

I'm glad you made it and having a good driver sure didn't hurt. The description of your heart attack sounded near exact as my stepfather's(an actual good one). Living out in the country, my mother raced him about 25miles to the hospital at 3-4am, just to be blocked off by a slow moving train. They were just 1 1/2 miles away from the ER. You are very fortunate to have made it in time. Enjoy it, you got a second chance.

I bet Al was posting this while riding a CT around the neighborhood....and I bet none of the nurses send him christmas cards either, lmao. Good to have ya back!
