Coming soon! These will require you to use Z50 4-bolt hubs and CT70 rim halves. I'm going to come up with some different designs but here is my first trial...the classic custom 8-hole design. This is just a photo-rendering from my design program. I will be making the first ones within the next 2 weeks. Similar pieces are available from the high end Japanese manufacturers, but at insane prices. If anyone has an idea for a design they want, lemme know and I'll see what I can do. Questions and comments are appreciated!

Interesting. Any idea on price yet?

I'm not entirely sure yet. I gotta see how much machine time it'll take, but a rough estimate is around $100 for a pair.

Can i suggest that the 4 hub bolt holes be offset so they are inbetween the larger holes rather than beneath them, some similar chinese z50 10 inchers have been known to fail when the holes are located the same as this. Then again you could buy a set of z50 rims like this cheap enough

Good catch, I meant to offset those holes but forgot to do it. I have no interest in sourcing rims out of China. These centers will be made of 6061 billet aluminum, not old beer cans and Yugo's.

Ryan,

Don't do any current patterns available on the market (G-craft). Your best bet is to come up with some unique designs so you can broaden your market to the overseas tuning market as well.

If you come up with some unique designs, the people will come.

Make the centers fit the 2.5" to 3.5" wheels. The 4" wide wheels take a unique adapter.

Be aware different brands of 10" wheels have different built in offsets. Takegawa has a funky offset that can cause fitment issues.

I plan on coming up with my own...this was just an easy thing to whip together for a demo. Right now I'm looking at use with the stock Honda outer rims. I'd need dimensions for the aftermarket ones if they're different. Thanks again for the input.

Ryan,

Stock CT70 rims take the same centers as G-craft 2.5-3.5" aftermarket rims. It's the 4" wide G-craft that takes a different offset center.

Let me know when you get 'em done and if you need a pattern for the 4" wide wheels (limited market) I have a couple here you could borrow if you want to cover postage both ways.

If you happen to own a machine shop, then you might be able to make your own billet hubs for less than $200ea. If you don't, then the cost of parts & materials, alone, will come close to that figure. And, most machinists/CAD designers tend to require payment for their services. Cast hubs would have a considerably lower unit production cost, but the up-front/setup costs can easily cross the 5-figure mark. Might be a cool project if you're doing it for your own use, would definitely be nice if the market was oriented more4 toward this level of quality. In a market dominated by guys willing to risk their safety to save pocket change for a pair of complete wheels, it could take many years to recoup the investment, particularly in domestic market. By the time one considers the basic logistics of undertaking such a project, those "expensive" JDM aftermarket hubs no longer seem expensive.

Dead on....If I owned a 4 or 5 axis CNC machining center and aluminum was cheap, no problem. This unfortunately is not the case.

just a suggestion..but I've always liked the look of the older aluminum slotted rims (American Racing..?) Think Starsky & Hutch Torino rims....might be a good fit for the CT in overall look? Can you render a pic on that..? Again, just a suggestion..

Sure can...while I'm at it, should I make some 5-spoke Cragar S/S wheels? haha
 
If you came in with a ball end mill and recessed a little around the perimeter of each slot it would look like a old Halibrand wheel. Nice looking centers! looking forward to seeing them on a bike.
