Picked up a 1984 off of ebay that i was able to pick up locally. Im the third owner. Guy i bought it from went through the import process with customs. Bike is titled and plated. Originally purchased in British Columbia, Canada.

Im going to keep it as original as i can. Looking it over it needs a few things. Most of the schematics im sourcing parts from are the 1982 U.S version. Even CMS doesnt list the 83-86 Canada only models.

Seat is more than likely a repro due to the color of the foam on the underside of the seat pan, that and its a 77-78 pattern. Battery wasnt original, but ill run the usual floodlight battery to avoid acid spills. Grips are wrong. Not sure about the mirrors, i know they are supposed to be black, but the nuts are wrong.

Back wheel and tire seems to be original with a 1983 date code. Tire is a trail wing. Angled valve stem.

Front tire and wheel were replaced at some point. Wheel date code is 1980, so it came off an 81 bike. Tire is a IRC.

Front headlight is burnt out, so is taillight. Rectifier tested good, so it think it was ran without a battery at some point.

Ignition switch looks original after seeing the age on the end of the electrical connection inside the bucket. Really notchy on off turn though. Key is an Ilco brand so thats not right. Oem switch isnt available, but i can get one for a passport c70 would just need to change out the terminals.

Forgot to mention that I picked up an 84 owners manual off of eBay about a year ago. It's in French and English. Also shows the typical 80-82 style seat.

I usually run without the water absorbent gasket for the heat shield. Im wondering if i take this old crusty one off if it will be so rotten it leaves a hole.

Well...ya...good possibility. But, the longer you leave it, the MORE likely there will be a hole under there.

Freshening up a few things on the bike. New grips, headlight, air filter, carb packing kit, and a taillight gasket.

Bike had motion pro grips, air filter was getting to the point of disintegrating. The headlight was burnt out. I tested the rectifier then ran the bike with a fresh 6v battery and an old crusty headlight.

When i was replacing the taillight bulb i noticed thwre was no gasket back there.

Replaced the petcock since it leaked. Normally id just go with a china repop since they are rebuildable. I dont have a tap and die to rebuild it and id like to do it on a drill press which i also dont have.

Dratv lists this as for a 1986 ct110. Its what was on my bike and is also pictured in the owners manual.

Replaced the horn (left) with a period correct horn. These were on just about every Honda from the late 70s to mid 80s.

Every Honda sales brochure shows the ct70 up to 1986 with the heat shield with holes and slats. (Bottom heat shield in photo)

The 91 and newer heat shield had all holes.

This bike i believe has a 91 up muffler and heat shield. What makes me think that? Well, the heat shield, but also the muffler uses m5x10 black panhead screws. The 78-82(86) muffler with the bent attachment point at the rear shocks uses an m6x10 oval screw.

Exhaust must have been replaced at some point on this bike.
