index pin question???

hello all,I am assembling a 4 speed motor and the index pin that is for the shield on the shift drum is missing,I cant find one in stock,its the smaller pin not one of the 4 larger,it pins the shield,has anyone had any luck locating these or know of size or replacement,thanks for your help Greg

You might also give NEVC a phone call. They're really good with sourcing small, OEM, pieces like this...might have a good used specimen available.

it shows obsolete on that parts list also,what is the size

#28 here should work. It says 3x8.5.
I measured one from a CT70H with my crappy calipers and it was 3x8. So you might have to grind a fuzz off of it.
