Is anyone still using eBay?

Dratv only sells through ebay now. And they will not combine shipping. Im really disappointed as their website was great.
I believe their website is back up now...but they don't sell anything thru the website now. But at least you can use them as a source for information again.

Ya I did do that. I don't think the government is going to care much about that tho when they start counting their money.

Trudging thru PAGES AND PAGES of cheap china generic JUNK before you find a ACTUAL CT70 part. It's ridiculous!! How many listings do they need for the SAME motorcycle cup holder. If they have 100 to sell, can't they sell them all with ONE listing!!!
That shit gets my goat. I swear loud and often at eBay these days.
One good trick...
Under the "condition" drop-down tab...click "used" that will eliminate pretty much ALL of those good Chinese trinkets. But it also eliminates the good stuff that's listed as "new". Still...might be the best way to shop for minibike parts on eBay.

Has anyone that's sold over 600 worth of stuff on eBay gotten a tax statement or did they decide to not send one out?

Yes that's what I heard as well. But it's such a clusterfudge and touchy subject, that I doubt they can get all the details worked out in just a year. But even so, I'm already seeing items selling for below what they're worth and unreasonably high shipping and handling costs.

I will buy on ebay but will no longer sell anything. There are deals to be had on a lot of things and cheaper in many cases than perhaps Amazon or other sources (i'm not talking specific to bikes here). High-volume sellers may still benefit by using ebay as your basic ecommerce site, but for hobbiest folk, it no longer makes a lot of sense due to the ebay fees, paypal fees, taxes and all that. As a side note, I'm really surprised that DRATV decided to go the direction they went. There must be a real incentive for a business to do all their sales on there instead of their own site. I do miss the simplicity of the DRATV site and, honestly, have not really purchased much from them since their changeover. I hope that it's working out for them.

I'm kind of surprised (and disappointed) that dratv went that way too.
I know there is a significant shipping discount thru eBay.
So now, dratv builds shipping fees into their pricing, so they can offer free shipping. Then, with free shipping, there is no, combined shipping, discount. I'm sure it all plays in.
I'll bet they are saving some time by using eBay too...it's not nearly as personal as a web based "family owned business". Less phone calls, emails, and cheapskates looking to "talk to the boss about a..." deal...or advice on how to build engines, etc.
But as eBay fizzles...dratv might get fewer overall looks, at their store..?

I have stopped buying from dratv completely. The fact that they dont combine shipping kills it for me. Its really a shame too, i could order on monday and for sure have it by friday.

Kirb, I bet Jack is only selling off his remaining stock as he must be in his high 70's or golden years, by now.

I agree with Old CT, I’ve shook Jack’s bear paw of a hand a few times over the years and he’s no puppy anymore. You’d be shocked if you saw their storefront, grey door with a 6”x 6” sticker on the door located in tiny Odell Nebraska with warehouse run by ladies. Used to buy 85% from him but ebay store is a hassle to find things. Was recovering from heart attack about 5 yrs ago when I was last there.

No kidding? You think they are just planning to sell it all out and be done?
That would be a huge loss for us IMO. Someone should...maybe email that question to them. Rather than...let a rumor get started or whatever.

If I had a warehouse of my own...I'd hire some ladies to run it too.
Who'd want a warehouse full of hairy dudes 😝

I think it was more like 7 yrs ago last I was there. My Army son transferred from Kansas base so I stopped going there. Awhile back they closed doors to walk-in sales. He called them the kids out back, lol. I’ll keep buying from him till the day they don’t exist. Maybe family is just moving to new school. No rumors here, just my experience.
