Most overkill on a CT70 Restomod

Mine (the z50) ran great just no lights..?

No spark, period. Im thinking this has more to do with the points. I switched out engines and put a running engine in my frame and it ended up working fine. I also ground out the contact points for the ignition coil and engine mounting points on the frame.

First I would get a new spark plug or at least one you know will fire in something ( like your lawn mower) If you pull the spark plug out and put the plug in the spark plug cap then ground the plug to the head ..kick it over really fast several times while watching plug if you see one really weak spark ever 5 or 10 kicks its for sure most likely the condenser. Turn the lights out in a dark room or garage works best to see weak spark......also if the points are new drag a piece of 400 grit sand paper between the contacts ..(also can check with simple test light). I’ve seen some new points have something like cosmolean on them so they don’t rust while sitting on the self that causes them not to make contact....if that doesn’t work it could be the primary coil or the wire shorted or open that runs from the primary coil to the points..?? I’ve also see the insulators on the points get oil soaked couseing them to be shorted out if points are old...I’ve personally never seen the main coil go bad but I’m sure they can? There’s not much left after that.. assuming your point gap is set correctly?
