Ended up going with the pro taper mini high bend contour bar. The bar is 1 1/8” On clamping area and tapers out to 7/8 for controls and grip. I still need to cut the bars to shorter width but it definetly looks different.

Thank you. I was going for a different look. I still have all the original parts to the bike in good condition as well if I ever wanted to make it stock again. That’s a Leo Vince carbon fiber universal heat shield. I actually saw a guy on here with one and liked it so much I ordered one.

Very clean set up. Is there any way to fit the engine guard back on?
Also very cool that you kept the original pieces to the bike too. Most people don't.

Interesting handlebar & riser setup. That ought to allow you to finely-tailor the handlebar position for comfort & control. It's certainly unique among these bikes.(y)

Now, just polish that rear brake plate...it's detracting from the appearance of an otherwise very nice machine.

FYI, the engine guard will clear the head of this larger motor, though you may need to add spacers, or an extender plate, at the engine end. The make/break component is the headpipe. That may not clear the RH upright.

Thanks I will see what I can do with the engine guard. As far as the rear brake I’m wanting to put rear disc brake on so I’ve been hesitant to polish or clean it up too much back there. I appreciate all the input as usual from you all. It’s 5 degrees in Indiana and I was planning on doing more modifications to it over the winter so I cleared a spot in my back room for it

The paint job is original and still very good but I was thinking about replacing the Honda decals on the frame. The old ones are a little worn and dinged up.

Looks like the RH side is a replacement, it's rotated ~4 degrees clockwise. So new tank decals are a good idea, they'll clean-up the visuals for very little money. Successful removal, prep & replacement is a bit tricky & painstaking, still well worth an afternoon's efforts, imho. If you want/need some instruction...this is the place to ask. For now, I'd prefer to keep the post length reasonable.

Nothing wrong with a rear drum brake, for any type of riding that's even remotely sane. It just needs to be in good working condition. That usually means clean, with new brake shoes, and within the 111mm wear limit. An afternoon spent sanding & polishing the brake plate can work wonders, no power equipment required. (If you do own a buffer setup, it'll be a much faster process.) Leaving the polished aluminum bare adds a nice bit a of extra bling, it just needs to be periodically maintained. Clearcoat knocks-down the gloss. A rear disc brake conversion is probably more money...and a lot more involved... than you realize at this moment. I can go into detail, if you like.

The shoes were just recently replaced. The drum brake is in good working condition. It just has a quick black rattle can coat. There’s a few things on my list for this winter to do with the bike and something with the rear brake is one of the first on the list.

I see that this heat shield is made in different sizes. Do you have a part number? Much appreciated!
