So how did Al's treat you one the chrome work ?

Did they stick by their price and do proper quality work ? How long was the turn around time ?

The only thing I am going to have them redo is the engine gaurd and I want be taking that back until next week. I waited so I could take some more parts. The original turn around was about 4 weeks. All the parts they did looked great other than the engine guard and the bottom of the fenders, but now we all know the bottom of the fenders are not chromed. I just painted them with chrome paint and they look pretty good.

Well, I got out of the lake deal and was able to make some headway. You can see the KO Candy Gold is at bat and the HKO candy topaz orange is on deck. I also have an HKO emerald green setting on the bench. Watch out "vrodss" I am going to catch you, maybe in twenty years if you will only slow down...lol

Looking very nice. At this point in the project it always seems like time slows down as the anticipation of getting it all together to see how it looks is intense.

Hell, Motorhead, I am still trying to recover from your last visit! I did manage to get the engine mounted tonight. Before anyone trashes my engine builder, I know I need to trim the cam cover gasket...lol

Hey Rick --- A couple more shiner's & it will trim itself . :4:

Well, hope all the fathers had a great fathers day, my family gave me a gift card and bought me breakfast from jack-in-the box and said "bye, see you tonight we're going shopping and to the movies"! Which was fine with me. I managed to get a little work done on the bike. I am getting so close, but not quite there... I did manage to run all the brake cables and rebuilt the carb today. I soda blasted it and then soaked it in a viberating solution of Gunk Carb and Parts Cleaner. Came out looking really nice, looks original. The pictures don't give it justice in my opinion. I will be placing what I hope to be my final parts order (for this bike) to CHP tomorrow.
