Strange head

A friend and i went to The One Motorcycle show in Portland this last weekend and saw some amazing builds. This little bike was pretty cool. I have never seen one of these heads. Anybody know anything about it?

That’s a Daytona 4V-DOHC head. They sold them in 88cc or 124cc kits. Seem to be a little hard to find now. They were always big $$$.

There is pretty epic thread on PM that Eichkay uses a DOHC kit on a z50. Lots of good pictures that still seem to work….

Gonna run it...sell it...keep it on the shelf?
I'm going to have to tear into a Nice engine eventually. I need one that will rev a little higher...and go a little faster...
A big head 127 is lookin like the best/easiest option for me to go after. But...maybe not THAT big of a head.

The DOHC has a planned home and hopefully will install over the next two weeks. I ordered two Thai based 127 kits with 4v and roller rockers and I have a motor on the bench that needs a few things to button the bottom up. I'm debating what to do with the crank...use a stock nice crank, or convert it to the Kitaco porkchopped 54mm I have here. Decisions, decisions.

Be sure to let us know your thoughts and opinions of that dohc Nice. I don't remember you ever building ANY dohc engine before..?

To me...it seems like a longer stroke, on a Nice 110, would be going in the wrong direction. More towards a stomper, when it seems like the Nice engine needs to rev a little higher. More toward a screamer.
