Took a paid day off to deal with a plumbing problem, had to drive to Tucson to rent a 100' x 5/8" drain-cleaning auger, 45 miles each way with road work & traffic (and I still gotta return the auger tomorrow morning before the football games). But this auger is BAD@$$, it totally DESTROYED the tree root clog in my sewer line, like sending a German Panzer Division against the Polish Cavalry, LOL. I rodded the line twice, first with a smaller root-clearing tip or bit on the snake, then I broke out the GNARLY CUTTER and cleared the line BIG-TIME... now my drains run like Ben Johnson on steroids, even with extra large laundry loads, LOL. Been doing laundry ever since, had a pretty good pile to knock out since the problem lasted awhile, aye? Been making like a truck driver, p!ssing in a jug and cr@pping in Walmart sacks for the duration... TMI for you sidewalk sissies? BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! Meh, you'll get over it, and I still luv ya, LOL.
Ya know, I'd like to KEEP this auger, it's practically brand-new and it gets the job done... like "The Beast" of a Toro 5610 Fairway Mower we have on the course, that thing is a full-on "Sturm und Drang" Waffen SS Battalion in itself when it comes to cutting grass. I paid for DP or "Damage Protection" insurance on this auger, of course, since it probably cost at least $800, but the Home Depot did NOT offer theft insurance, otherwise the auger would be in my shed instead of back on the cargo carrier hitched to the Mighty Camry, LOL. Meh, I'll buy one just like it soon enough, just gotta save a little money... I had a 1/2" auger in the box sitting in my master bedroom closet, but I returned it to the Depot in Sierra Vista when I needed money (before the job offer came through). But after using this burly 5/8" auger, I'm not gonna waste any money on a cheesy 1/2" model, this 5/8" bad boy clears drains like nobody's business... no kinks in the cable, no knot-tying exercises with that same cable, no thrashing around like "THE ALIEN" as ya handle the damned thing, LOL.
NOSIREE, THIS 100' x 5/8" DRAIN-CLEANING AUGER IS THE REAL DEAL, A BEAUTIFUL MACHINE WHICH KNOCKS OUT TREE ROOT CLOGS LIKE THE HAMMER OF GOD, LOL...
And we have those pesky tree roots here, even in the high desert... the mesquite bushes & trees out front in my parking strip are the most likely culprits, but I can't bring myself to cut 'em down, purely out of respect, LOL. It ain't easy for plants to grow in this poor high desert soil, and the mesquites look cool when they're in flower and all... who am I to destroy the livelihood of these tenacious plants? I almost feel a kindred bond with 'em, especially after going through that ridiculous public-fund-wastin' ordeal of being falsely charged back on the coast, pffffffffffft. I was dealing with nothing BUT dry & rocky soil then, CORRUPT FREAKIN' SOIL if the truth be told, but that's all over now and I'm back to regular everyday realities of life, here in southeastern Arizona where Nature does her best to let plants thrive in a harsh environment. One day, I'll put in a whole new sewer line, but it ain't in the cards right now, I'm just gonna buy an auger and clear the root clogs on a regular basis... who knows? I might be DEAD before the old line gives up the ghost, LOL. CHEERS!!!
ALRIGHT, WE GOTS SOME PICS FOR A FRIDAY NIGHT, SOME CAT SHOTS FOR OLD CT & A SHOT OF THE BAD BOY AUGER, LOL:
There's MuuMuu the Barn Kitty inspecting a cart: "C'MON, DUDE, LET'S TAKE A TEST DRIVE!!!"
And there's our Jet Heater, the thing burns multiple kinds of fuel and warms up the shop (and tools) on chilly mornings... believe me, those tools would be FREEZING otherwise, they ain't payin' me enough to handle frozen tools, LOL.
HERE'S THE WAFFEN SS AUGER, THING IS F#%NG BAD@$$, I'D LIKE TO KEEP IT BUT I'LL BUY ANOTHER LIKE IT, 10-4???
OKAY, BOYZ, I'M BACK TO DRINKING BEER AND WATCHING SURF FLICKS... MY PICKS FOR THIS WEEKEND ARE AS FOLLOWS, NOT THAT I NECESSARILY LIKE THE TEAMS, LOL.
CHIEFS, RAVENS, NINERS & THE PACK... LET'S SEE HOW MANY I GET RIGHT DESPITE THE BAD OFFICIATING, LOL.
CHEERS, YOUSE KNUCKLEHAIDS!!! BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! KEEP ON RIDING, WOOHOO!!!
