Success! Finally received my second plate today. Too bad I'm in Georgia. Lol!
Depends on if those late fees will make or break you. Personally say something like "I was going back and forth to Vermont for 6 months and wanted to ride while I was there so I bought this bike kept it registered in Vermont and then got it shipped out here" and see if that flies? "Vermont told me to register it in their state since I bought it there"-- Sometimes the DMVs are hard asses, but sometimes just sometimes you get that nice guy who is having a really good day because he had morning fun with the wifey. After seventeen days of waiting, I went home for lunch and (insert howling laughter) there they were - my two green plates. One is for my original 76 CT90 that got me started in this crazy hobby and the other is for my latest acquisition - the CL100.Now the decision - do I ride for a year on the green plates and then eat the Louisiana late registration fees? The fees are relatively low but I might soon be selling the CL100 to raise cash for an Aermacchi Harley Davidson Sprint 250. I need a title. But I will hold my head high and proud when these two bikes take their first street legal rides here this weekend . . . . cough, cough, chuckle.Rick
I did mine through the MSF- two day course fun as hell! I remember I wanted the low rider honda shadow bike- some guy bitched and moaned because I got on it first but HE wanted that bike because blah blah blah blah blah. Anyways he ended up dumping the shadow on the pavement while I learned on a taller enduro bike. Even got a free tee shirt out of it lol. The next weekend I went down to PHX and went to the world motorcycle tour and test road the brand new Victory bikes- that was their first year for the 8 ball I think. Man I still freaking LOVE that 8 ball Victory.Congratulations, Rick!I'm waiting for my third one for the '94 CT70. It should be another two weeks. In the meantime, I'm legal to ride. Got my Motorcycle Safety Foundation training course completed at a local Harley dealer. Florida doesn't test. They farm it out to the MSF. Just had to go to the DMV to get a new license with the MC endorsement. The school used 500cc Harley Street's for training.View attachment 25300Bob
