Actually that is not your Bike the cables are routed different on the T-shirt.

You might want to look again. Compare the pictures below. The cable routing near the top was photoshopped. The clocking of the valve stems, routing of the cables, the cable tie position, reflection in the polished clutch cover/spark plug guard/front fender, the HK1 carb (before I changed it), and the angle at which the photo was taken allowed me to recognize the image in the *** shirt. The least Lyle and the rest of the "gang" could have done was send me a free shirt for the use of my image.

Say what you like about the "gang", but leave Lyle out of it. He had nothing to do with the shirts.

I can send you this shirt (I still have one left) if you want. All the MPC shirts went to the "gang". We can call it the "HG gang" shirt. uge2uhyq.jpg

After spending some time looking at both pictures i can see a few things that are the same but at the same time i can see different stuff. ie the routing of the cables and headlight position I would say that almost any bike that has been restored would look similar in my option. One thing i did notice on you bike was a black air cleaner clamp. I thought they were zinc plated clear or something similar not black as yours is. just my thoughts not trying to start a war

You are correct, the air filter clamp is black. I have no doubt that my image was used to make the shirt graphic. A few of the details were photo shopped but, too many tell tale signs were missed.

Lyle denied doing it himself but, gave me the info of the designer he bought the image from. I contacted him directly and he admitted he used a bike he found off the internet. I told him to stop using my image for profit, and he apologized. He also promised not to use it again. I consider issue behind us now.

You guys are way off - post something on the internet without having copyright to bad. The designer can do whatever he wants with it. Don't like it don't put it out there.

Ya I don't think anyone did anything wrong. Anything that you post on the internet is fair game like it or not. If I find a picture of one of you guys' girlfriends, I might print it and hang it in the garage. I might even put it on a T-shirt if she's really hot. I doubt the copyright would even scare me much. In fact I think someone may have used a image of my head when they made this helmet.

Anyway, what I think is wrong is the pissin match. It's not flattering, or entertaining. Seeing It just makes me... uncomfortable. People that I respect, disrespecting each other.

Not to stir the pot here. I would be elated that someone thought my photo of my bike was nice enough to make a T shirt out of it.

What we all must understand that all photo's we as internet user's post unless copyrighted become public domain for anyone to use.

That being said:
1. If you don't want any of your photo's that you post to be used by anyone, copyright it and watermark your copyright on your photos.

2. Don't post photo's

I understand how a person feels when what they thought or is their property is used for another individual. financial gain. It's frustrating I am sure. Because you say I wish I thought of it.
Think of it as flattery and take it as lesson learned.

By the way I really like the bike and the photograph and the shirt!

Really, I'm over it. I just wanted those wearing the shirt to know where the image originated. Like I said before, I'm happy to know my bike is on a shirt that others choose to wear. Enjoy!
