What Kind of Helmet do you wear?

I'm just wondering what helmets everyone wears when they are riding their CT. With street bikes, matching race helmets seem to be all the rage. Feel Free to post a pic of your helmet.

Speaking of helmets, where does everyone purchase theirs? I can only find them locally for 100-200 dollars a helmet. Is this average?

I have a Bell helmet with a full face shield as well as a open motocross helmet. I would say $100 is normal

I have an Easy Rider Helmet from the Movie Easy Rider. Got it off E-Bay. It goes well with the CT!

the price of a helmet depends on how much your head is worth.this is absoulutly the last thing i want to take a gamble with being thrifty!!honda sells this arai for $450 or so.. riding on the street @ 60 to 70mph with a open face helmet on a ct70 is not going to happen.

Agreed. Ive bought a used helmet for auto x only.(in a car, less than 70mph speeds, no wrecks or even chance of wrecks)

otherwise, the avg is ~400 for a normal and 6+ for the rossi. I would nt recomment avg to anyone though. Poor quality for high price. Arai and shoei are the best bang for the buck.

How do you get a CT to go 70MPH? Mine will go maybe 40 or so.

I bought this helmet from a local Honda dealer. I like it because it's DOT approved, it doesn't inhibit your hearing, and it has a swing down sheild. $60

Hate to say this...normally I dont wear one. I'm getting better about having one this year. Mine is an AFX Full face moto x. Fits very well.

I recall I spent just under $400 for mine. Its a full face with a flip up front- the entire face flips up to put it on. I will use it on my CT , but also drive a Vulcan, so... need a little more at 80 then at 25.

I dont wear a helmet. I do have one for my VT750 Ace. Its a Fulmer AF-655, You can only buy them at a dealer. They want them to fit correctly. I bought it for 99 bucks.

I wear an arai full face. It's about $400. Very comfy. Honestly, I would have bought something cheaper, but arai is the only brand that makes different shell shapes, and this is the only one that comes in the shape "long oval". My head is freakishly long.

Girlfriend rocks a fulmer with a bubble shield. So much cooler. Only $100. Really good quality for the price.

You can easily pay $150 for a classic Arthur Fulmer open face bobber metallic (used) helmet on eBay and the interior is completely rotted. Well they have brought them back. Arthur Fulmer is known for really nice quality. DOT approved. Sparkle helmets to match your CT!

I couldn't get the link to work . I bought a full face from my harley dealer , where the entire front lifts & leaves the front open . Nice helmet , but slightly over $300 . I think Dennis uses his old football helmet . I'm not saying it's old , but it's made out of leather . :4:
