I've been wearing a HJC CLX-5 Arena Helmet for the past 4 years.

I would eventually like to find an affordable Vintage Easy Rider "Stars & Stripes" Helmet with Bubble Visor. I had one back in the 70's and the metal flake in the helmet sure did popped in the sunlight. This helmet would go perfectly riding around on one of these early Trail 70's.

Here's my helmet.
Here in Nevada, wearing a helmet for this size bike is an option, but I Always do.
I added the flame light reflector decals that represent riding in the desert at 117F :21:
Hitting your head at any speed w/o a helmet is not too good.

I just wear the same lid that I use on my streetbike. Shoei RF1000. It's about time for a new one though... it touched the tarmac just a bit at my last trackday... Barely scuffed the back of it, so I'm pretty sure the inside didnt' take much of a hit.

MJN, I like the fact your busa is all scraped up on one side

That is EXACTLY what a bike deserves, to be taken to the limits and beyond

Trailer queens can suck it, ride them don't polish them with mothers and diapers

Diapers are for babies, speaking of which, I have a baby that probably needs a new one

Fulmer makes them in the captain America theme. About a hundred bones. Fifteen more for the shield?

easy rider had the worst ending i remember as a kid.i wouldnt want to wear that helmet.

This might come as a shock but, I've never seen Easy Rider (1969) or On Any Sunday (1971). I was born in 1970. I only knew the helmet from my days growing up. I learned afterwards it was a helmet that Peter Fonda wore in "Easy Rider". I'm tempted to rent or buy both movies just to see what they are all about.

Well... If I could quit spending money on these dang mini-bikes, I could afford new plastics for it. :4:
I'd really rather it look good again...some day maybe!

On Any Sunday: On Any Sunday - Bing Video

Oh man.... a motorcyclist that has NOT watched "On any Sunday"????

That movie is REQUIRED veiwing for any enthusiast. Without a doubt, it was instrumental in instilling the passion I have for two wheeled machines.

I've done a vintage helmet, with my first motorcycle back in the stone-ages.. thanks but no thanks. Some thngs, for one's own sense of dignity, should be left in the past, LOL.

I've got but one helmet, that has to do it all, whether on the CT70, the C70, or my regular streetbike.

Scorpion EXO900 model - it can either be a full face when locked down, hinged up to enjoy the low-speed breezes on a cruise while still maintaining full-face functionality, or remove the chin bar entirely, for that open face experience. I've owned other 'convertable' helmets in the past, but this offering from Scorpion beats them all hands down in the design department.

Hardly surprising, E/R would've been out of circulation before you were born and I kinda doubt that you'd have gotten much out of either one while they were current. You might find those two, along with drive-in classics, "Vanishing Point", "Two Lane Blacktop" and "Return to Macon County" good mini-lessons in American History. That is, if you're interested in history. The all captured the zeitgeist, like time-capsules, of the country over a very turbulent 6-year span. I've viewed these flicks in recent years and seeing how much things have changed since they were made borders on the surreal. As for the "Captain America" helmet, it's cool seeing them on other riders. Personally, I say "no, thanks". Living through the `60s, once, was enough. You really can't go home...
