Help me reunite with a Candy Sapphire Blue Honda CT70 Bike.

Would prefer all original only or at least all the original parts if they have been replaced. Looking for a 100 point quality restoration or reconditioned bike for display only. Bike will not be ridden.

1969 - 1971 Honda CT70 Mini Trail Bike.

You're going to have a fun time trying to find something of that quality for sale. Your best bet would be to do it yourself. I've got a '69 Silver Tag frame that needs some work I might be willing to part with.

The bike won't be ridden!?!? Why don't you save yourself a bunch of money and buy yourself a nice poster? :)

Sorry. Couldn't resist.

On a more serious note, there are plenty of fully restored bikes that show up on Ebay regularly. Prepare to part with around $5000.00 to get one in that condition though. I could never see going that deep on one. I figure that if I wouldn't pay Honda that much for a brand new one today, with a warranty, I sure wouldn't buy a restored one for that much either.

I figured $3,000 to $4,000.

Willing to pay top dollar. I have looked on eBay as well. I also have a reminder search that will email me if anything comes up.

It is just one of those things I guess. Display only. First bike I rode and it was the first bike I wiped out on. Exhaust burned my leg! Still have the burn scar to this day.

I am sure someone knows someone who has something along these lines and may be willing to part with it for the right price and the right person.

It would drive me crazy to just look at a restored bike and not drive it on a perfect day. At the very least, a parade. I just bet you WILL drive that bike and I hope you enjoy it. I do beleive though, if a vintage ct70 is in pristine original condition, that it should be preserved for reference. I.E. museum piece. Good luck with your search.

Thanks. Hopefully someone can point me in the right direction. Surely someone knows of someone that perhaps I could contact an make an offer.

I think if you already own a Bike in decent condition you might find someone willing to do the restoration for 3K. Probably not a 100 pointer but something that any Honda enthusiast would be proud to display in their living-room. 4K might get you close to what your looking for but would have some aftermarket parts like a seat, engine guard and handle bars.

I met George about 2 years ago. He does his restores out of his work, in the back in a nice warehouse. Its in Edina MN. I am from there. Southwest suburb tp minneapolis/st paul.

Good guy. He told me about one restore he did for a guy out of canada, I think, who came down in his Leerjet to pick it up. he was doing a silver tag when I was there. Everything I saw about his operation was top notch.

No Leerjet here but yeah :16:. Willing to pay good coin for a "museum" quality bike.
