The grocery getter in front of me obviously knew that sinkhole had sunk. I didn't. If I wasn't following so close, a Xtra second might have been enough to clue me in. But it was that sunken patch of blacktop...patch, that rattled my teeth, not RR tracks.
The tb117 with their race head it a great running motor. I tend to run it at about 53mph on the stock speedo. But it's kinda buzzy for me. It's nearing 9000 rpm at that speed. I'd like to try subtracting 1 tooth on the rear sprocket. Somewhere in this video...I'm looking for another gear. lol, didn't find it either. The buzzy engine seems to do that to me often. Seems like I'm wound up at 45mph...so I'm looking to hit another gear. But I'm NOT wound up yet. This motor I think will top out at about 62mph. I don't push it that far too often because the high rpm's...make me uncomfortable, lol.
I miss my 125 ALOT. 60 was quite cozy on the dax. I am going to have to replace that bike for sure. I have something in the works, I spose it needs to go on the front burner. Currently, my Old Dirty Bastard project is little more than some boxes marked "ODB" I have high hopes to get some shit done this winter.
I still have Sharon's 6v side cover that will go on this black and red bike. It won't fit over the current flywheel. But I plan to add turn signals to this bike. When I do I'll swap on a lil mini sized...Daytona style stator setup. Then I can make the 6v cover work.
The tb117 kit with race head is around $550 I think. It's pretty awesome, if anyone is considering it. I'm sure it could be tuned in better than mine is too.
