Still plannin to be there. Doubt I'll bring any crap to swap or sell. Probably just be me and a mini. Drive down and spend the day, then turn around and come home.

That's ~650 miles, one way, a 12-hour ride, if conditions are good. Any construction zones, accidents or traffic backups could add considerable time. Not 100% sure the roundtrip is quite possible in a single day. As a two-day trip, it'd be a herculean effort, if you spend any time at the actual event. Best allow three days for this one, unless you really enjoy long distance driving and have a lot of stamina.

If I were you Kirb, I would look into reserving a room for the night of the 13th in or around Bowers and get some rest for the ride home or to Mom's in the A.M..

I was thinking it was 9. I'll have to check it out again.

Might be possible but, that's optimistic. That'd be averaging 70mph+, door-to-door, including fuel/food/pit stops and unexpected slowdowns. You'll have to keep the rubber band stretched tight. If it's smooth sailing the entire way and you can maintain 80-ish speeds over most of it, your ETA should come close. What's the likelihood of a trip like that, completely free of bottlenecks? Last trip to Mid-Ohio, ~270 miles from home, took almost 6.5 hours due to construction and one accident delay. Normal travel time is around 4.5 hours. That's less than half the distance to Bowers, PA. St Louis, MO ~650 miles away, can take anywhere from ~10 hours to 13. The longer the distance, the less predictable the average speed, especially when traveling through metropolitan centers. I suggest that you plan accordingly and give yourself some wiggle room. Otherwise, you could end up being one tired hombre.

Like I said, three days...one out, one there, one back. That way you can actually enjoy the event. And, if you find the trip taking hours longer than anticipated, you won't have to use the cigarette lighter to keep yourself awake.:flame:

Or this! :whip: Good idea to leave some wiggle room for traffic.

As often happens this time of year, we get an early warm spell followed by a cold snap. If the forecast is correct, it'll be a wet & chilly ride...rainy, with highs around 60F.:rain::tsk: Bring your rain gear, I guess...

I'm waiting on the weather to see if I will come. Timing wise, having it the weekend of Mother's day is challenging. It is hard to sell going away for a motorcycle event to your wife on that weekend.
