That paint is in fantastic shape. Looks freshly painted, Must have been stored very very well. Sweet bike.

Yes Blue-Green is a very hard color to Photograph. They all come out looking too Blue....:104:
Where the H)^$ did you get that NOS seat @ Frank! That's Off the Chain....cool!!!!;)
My H definitely needs a seat, it is one of the only parts left to get.
If anyone has one or even a decent KO pan I do have a nice cover, but nothing else. :43:

Frank,
Your Topaz Orange HKO is a spitting image of the bike I had growing up. It looks so good I almost made one of the pictures my desk top background. Where in the world do you get your seats done at? They are perfect! I'd pay $300.00 for a seat that perfect. Well done bike! My hats off to you. :hi:

Thanks I appreciate you nice comments.

The seat is the original seat. The bike only has 600 miles on it and is really minty all I did was detail the motor, wheels, bucket and gave it a good cleaning.

Just got this 1970 candy gold with 4500 miles. Needs to be repainted, cleaned, and needs more power but I'm in love with her. It's my first mini bike and project.

Pookiebear, looks like you may have got your handlebars from Mytrailbuddy too, no wire and cable holes, and no lever perches.

Someone elses bike

Hey guys, I've been reading posts for the last few weeks, finally got around to registering. Already have a 76 Z50, 82 CT125(Aussie only model) & 73 CT70 road registered, (Along with about 18 other bikes unregistered) but I thought that I would share with you my next project. I managed to score this bike complete with all the boxes of parts for $325 about a year ago. Someone else didn't have the resources to finish the bike. Just waiting on moving house and having a workshop so this bike should see construction starting late march, with a december 2010 completion date. Hopes are for a Lifan 150 motor. Pictures tell the story.

Correct. I had the levers already from a box of parts I have with leftovers from the other 20 some bikes I have owned.

ADded a GPS mount
125decibel horn that runs off a 9volt battery.
street tagged.
cleaned up the stock rims and sprayed them with engine header paint (that looks way better in person than it does in the pic)
Tires from bikebandit. The $13 ones. NEw tubes.
HEre is the updated pic.

Holy Cow!!:13:...I just saw this pic...Is the frame cracked under the seat?...I looked at two bikes awhile back that had dents there...Not as big, but both of them had vertical cracks 4"-5" long under the seat on both sides...You could see daylight through them...The BIG men finally admitted that they used them for jumping.:13: The chain guards were still on them but cracked in two, each piece held on by one of the guard bolts. The shock bolt was bent among many, many other things damaged by jumping...They were in bad shape, unrepairable. It was especially sad because one was a B/G, 5/70 H and the other was a Gold Silver Tag. :20:

This my first post. I had a red 1970 KO whan I was a kid. I got it when I was 11 and rode it till I was 14. I've missed that little bike for a long time as some of most wonderful times of my youth happened around that bike. A few weeks ago I found this identical bike, but in better shape than my old one. I bought it from the original owner with 1300 miles on it. I will replace a few tired and damage pieces but the paint is quite good and it runs real well. I still need to get the carb apart but running some Sea Foam through it has been good enough to get 40 MPH out of it on a smooth road and me tucked as low as I could get. I plan to add an 88 BBK to it some time later but will concentrate on getting it nice before that. I don't want to make any radical changes that can't be reversed and will not do a total restore on it at this time. I want to ride and enjoy it. My first ride I felt 12 again in a real good way.
